I tried this recently but unsubscribing seems almost impossible! I have tried to unsubscribe from at least a dozen companies yet still the emails come. I know I could do the junk folder but I'd rather get rid of them altogether - if I only could!! I've got at least one company who, when I unsubscribe, sends a 'sorry to see you go' email - then soon after I get another email saying 'welcome back, we thought you would want to know about this very special offer'!! I will win this battle, one day....!! Instead of trying to unsubscribe I just report this type as spam, and eventually my email catches on and dumps it directly into "junk".

Pinterest is my downfall. I could walk away from the rest without much hesitation. I do see e-mail as a necessity since I get information from my kids school that way.

My computer is giving me issues, so I only get on the internet with my phone or at work during my breaks like right now. I thought I'd be going stir crazy but it's not so bad. I could probably be on here less, and I am now because I hate going on the internet with my phone. Mainly, the only places I go on are Facebook, Pinterest and here. So I think it'd be fairly easy for me to give up. I used to read a lot. Not so much anymore. I could go back to that!

I couldn't possibly, because both of my jobs depend on the internet for scheduling. (chaplain hours at the hospital, substitute teaching jobs) Also all my volunteer work depends on the internet. However, that said.... yes, I'm sure I spend more time than I ought to browsing around. Like this morning for example. We have a community meeting coming up tonight and there will be a vote on a very controversial issue. So the emails have been flying on our neighborhood listserve. omg... I keep refreshing my email to see if someone else has responded to the latest round of allegations. Very entertaining.

I set my router to limit my wifi access in the evening. My iPad is my time sucker in the evenings, so when my wifi shuts off, I have to read a book! I am not a game player because those still work without wifi and I won't seek out another device. It is my cue to myself that I've had enough time.
