We are just about ready to replace our kitchen appliances ... they are on their last legs ...
At the moment everything is white but I'm seriously considering switching to stainless steel ...
What colour are your appliances?

White. I don't like the look of the stainless steel, too cold looking for me. Plus the smudges that always need cleaning. Plain old white for me.

1/2 stainless and 1/2 white. We are slowly replacing the white with stainless. The fridge and stove are new this year and are stainless. I love stainless and am so glad we moved to it. The dishwasher and microwave (the kind that is above the stove with a hood) are white. The microwave will likely be next since it's on its last legs. The dishwasher is working great.

Stainless, but I hate trying to keep them clean. True story, our new dishwasher is 4 months old and still has the protective film on it because I can't bear the thought of dealing with fingerprints and water stains. Everyone comments on the oool teal color .

Stainless steel. I know lots of people don't like stainless, but I do. I wouldn't pick another finish, personally.

Mine are white, including my sink and the faucet set, but if you've had white and want something else, go for it. You'll spend a lot of time in that kitchen so make it pleasant.

White. I love how it brightens up our kitchen! In our other house we have black appliances and the kitchen seems so dark. I love white appliances and furniture.

Mine are stainless. I don't really find them that difficult to keep clean. What I DO find hardest to keep clean is my stove top, but I think it's just because I haven't found the right cleaner. The stove top is black and it streaks like nobody's business! I almost dread cooking because the top is going to look like crap until the next time my cleaning lady comes. I should probably just ask her what she uses As far as appearance, I switched from white to stainless about a year ago, and the stainless looks so much better. The white just looked dated to me. And small hijack: My stainless steel cleaner smells exactly like Pledge. Are the cleaning products people just jacking us over by relabeling furniture polish as stainless steel polish and charging more?

We have white. We have a galley style kitchen and I can't imagine anything else in there. It would make it feel too crowded. A lot of my IRL friends have stainless and they hate the endless wiping a fingerprints. I am NOT making more work for myself if we ever need to replace what we have. I already have enough to clean besides fingerprints!

We have a combination right now-stainless dishwasher and fridge, black cooktop, and white double-oven. We're slowing changing to all stainless, but it seems to be taking forever! We just purchased a new stainless fridge Saturday and DH tried to talk me into getting the new slate color. It's really nice-looking, but I didn't want to bring yet another finish into the kitchen.

Our fridge looks like stainless on the front, but magnets don't stick so I think it must be aluminum instead. Doesn't keep prints so whatever it is, it's not hard to keep clean.
Mine are stainless. I don't really find them that difficult to keep clean. What I DO find hardest to keep clean is my stove top, but I think it's just because I haven't found the right cleaner. I should probably just ask her what she uses And small hijack: My stainless steel cleaner smells exactly like Pledge. Are the cleaning products people just jacking us over by relabeling furniture polish as stainless steel polish and charging more? What works for black glass stove top for me is a combo of Weimans cleaner and their red scrubby things. or Soft Scrub with same red scrubby or other plastic scrubby thing. I dislike glass cooktops but have no choice here. next house will be gas!
I think the stainless cleaners are things like Pledge and WD-40, so probably yes, they charge more because they can and people pay up.

Black and I hate them. The stove never looks clean and I swear I scrub it every other day. I don't mind the black frig or dishwasher...just the stove.

White here, has been for 20 years. I have no idea what I'd go with when these die off. Don't even want to think about it. LOL!

So white is a safe color for me since I can't decide on anything better

I also have stainless appliances, which I don't find difficult to keep clean. My range has a black stove top also, and I also struggle with streaks. I could have gotten a stainless stove top in the same model, but I thought that the black provided a nice contrast, so I went with it. I'm kind of sorry that I did because it is so hard to keep clean. I do have cleaning help twice per month, but she doesn't do any better with the stove top than I do.

Stainless - and I've never gotten the hysteria about keeping them clean. We've had stainless for over 10 years. Starting pre-kids and have survived through middle school with two kids. The fronts of the fridge/oven/dishwasher are cleaned every two weeks. The range is cleaned more often, but that would be true of whatever finish. Once in a great while, someone will put a hand on the front of the fridge, but I guess I'm lucky that usually we use the handles.

Black and I love them with our black granite. We have had them for 8 years. We had stainless in our last house and really liked it there, but our cabinets and counter tops were a different color than our current ones.

we are in the midst of re-doing our kitchen. The dishwasher and refrigerator are stainless, the new stove is black.
