8,297 km. I was born in Calcutta, India and now live in Adelaide, Australia.
I'm the only member of my immediate family who has not returned to India YET. It is on my list to travel there during the next few years.

It wasn't meant to be a commentary on if people are "boring" or on their life experiences...just out of interest to see if most people end up living closer to where they were born or further away.

7.2 miles
My sister lives 2.2 miles from me.
My brother lives 8 miles away.
My husband’s parents are 7.9 miles away.
We would never live farther apart than that from our family.

3.6 kms from the hospital where I was born. I've lived in many places but settled back here because it was affordable.

I just mapped mine. I thought it was going to be 5 miles, but the hospital is 2.3 miles from where I now live. I thought I’d be the closest but 1 mile is super close. I once heard on the radio that 75% (or higher?) die within 50 miles from where they were born. That will be me.

We are 5 hrs. from where I grew up and 4 hrs. from where my husband grew up. Perfect distance! An easy drive to visit relatives and for them to visit us.
