We don't even have rats here. Neither do the people who live in the snake house

I have two cousins living in Queensland ( suburbs of Brisbane) DH & I were thinking of going to visit in a few years - thanks for the tip, I've now decided they can visit us

What the fuuuuuuuuck?! That is not okay. Australia is on our list to visit, but geez, if you don't want us to come, just say so! 😬

Is there a photo in the OP? Yes, of Dave wearing a snake shirt and holding arms full of draping, yellow snake skins. The skins appear to be 4+ feet long. Are you glad you asked?

Is there a photo in the OP? Yes...sometimes when there's a photo it doesn't show up straight away, try refreshing or go out and then click back in again

Just call the front desk. WTH?!! Luckily we never had any visitors. 😂

That would be so icky. My dtr once rented a house where big fat snakes wintered in the attic. During warm weather they lived in a big tree, from which her children's swing was tied. While the children were swinging I once counted 6 big fat snakes snoozing on limbs above them.

The moth doesn't bother me, but it's Australia, so you just know there's a spider out there who would eat a giant moth...

I’m desperately afraid of spiders and don’t enjoy most creepy-crawly and slithery things. I was a bit nervous to visit but I didn’t see anything more than a spiderweb and a couple of lizards...so, don’t let that hold you back from visiting.

My favorite thing about Costa Rica compared to island vacations was all of the great wildlife. While walking from my hotel room to a tiny Pizza Hut, a three minute walk, I stopped when a 4 foot iguana fell out of the tree from about eye level. I don't know if I surprised him or what, but we were both quite interested in each other for a good minute and then he Komodo dragon'd himself away. I do love wildlife. I'd visit in a heartbeat.
I probably wouldn't love the idea of those snakes living in the roof above me though. I'd need to get bigger dogs.
