I didn’t want to derail the shopping cart/purse thread.
A lot of you mentioned that you have crossbody bags. Can you share which type? Are there any cons to the one you use.
I have a Coach crossbody but it’s flat and doesn’t have room for my large sunglass case so it’s not very convenient. I need one to carry my keys, money/cards/ID, phone, chapstick, readers and sunglasses.

My favorite crossbody bags are made by LeSportSac.

I have Born/b.o.c. cross-body purse similar to this. b.o.c crossbody bag Lots of pockets, zippers, snaps, etc - fits a ton in there! I've had it for some time and it's holding up very well.

I have several crossbody bags (small one from Coach, 2 Vera Bradley, 2 regular size & one mini from Thirty-One, one from either Baggalini or LeSportSac (I forget which)). Of all of those, the only one that truly fits everything I need to carry is the last one, but it's more functional than stylish - it's kind of boring compared to my others. (I love pretty bags - it's one of my weaknesses, LOL.) I mostly use crossbody bags for travel or if I'm going to some sort of all-day or multi-hour event where I'll want my hands free (Renaissance Festival, sporting event, outlet shopping, etc.). I have a couple larger/regular purses that have longer straps that can be adjusted so the bag can be worn as a crossbody, but I often find those to be awkward worn that way because they end up being too bulky and bump against my hips, shelves, other people, etc. Not good, LOL In the before-times, I'd change out purses all the time depending on where I was going, but now...not at all. I've had everything in a zippered tote that I keep by the door and just grab my wristlet wallet out of that if I need to run in to a store (pretty rare).
ETA: One of mine is similar to the b.o.c. one that stingfan linked, and it works well & holds a lot.

I got this one in my stitch fix box and I love it. It has a bunch of pockets and is perfect size.

Dang. I can't remember where I got mine. I just looked, and it has no label/brand on it at all. I thought it was baggalini, but it's not. I looked many sites for this one. I wanted a crossover that was small, but held lots, AND had a separate water bottle holder. Which this one does. It's great for doing long days shopping at the mall, flea markets, sporting events, etc. The only thing I don't like is that it's sort of ugly. Like it's not a dressy going up for dinner, event type, but more an everyday, working bag.

I have both Coach and Kate Spade crossbody purses. My current favorite is a KS. This is newer KS design that might work for what you need to carry: KS Runaround Large Flap Crossbody

This is the one I've been using for awhile now. I bought it to take to Israel and it was perfect... not too big but plenty big enough for notebook, Kindle/book, snack, brochures, small bag with miscellaneous little things, etc. It has a pocket on the strap to keep your phone in so that you don't have to swing the bag around every time you want your camera. It also has a mesh pocket to hold a water bottle. I use it at home a lot when I'm in DC at protests or at festivals (pre-covid) when I'm in a crowd... I feel like it's safer from pickpockets than my usual backpack purse. In terms of a purse I do prefer my backpack purse because it never slips off my shoulders or forward like the cross-body bag might do. But the crossbody bag is best for traveling because you can wear it so that the purse part is up front where you can keep your hand on it. Crossbody bag I randomly found on Amazon --- This also comes in fun colors... I bought a basic black one for when I need to look sedate and a fun bright blue one for other times.

I love crossbody bags! I like the nylon ones because they are durable for my outdoor covid lifestyle. Baggalini makes some good ones. Also Tory Burch.

I designed and made my own. It's got a long 2" wide strap (if I had adjusters on hand when I made it, I would have made it adjustable) that hangs the bag down across my body with the top at my hip. It's got a flap over it so it's kinda messenger style. In the inside there are pockets all the way around. I have 4 large pockets with 2 small pockets between them and a 2" wide pocket on each end. It's large enough that I can put my MacBook air in it no problem, or 2 iPads or a book and water bottle or..... lol. All the pockets hold various things and keep the middle part open for shoving stuff into it- wallet, phone, pens, hairbrush, hair springs, altos containers, meds, etc... I love my bag! It's perfect for me. I can even shove purchases in it if I forget a bag and don't buy a ton of stuff.

I love my crossbody bags and cell phone wallets from Sak Roots. I purchased a clip on eye glasses case for those bags that don't have room for glasses. I clip the case on the purse and it works just fine.

I don’t see my travel bag anymore, but it’s by Ebags. It’s like a Baggalini. I liked the large pockets that can hold maps as well as the inside pockets. It also has a hidden pocket for my passport and two pockets on each end that are flat and unzip to hold a water bottle or umbrella. It’s very lightweight.
For regular use, I have a few Kate Spades, a Vera Bradley, and another from ? That I use. I don’t have a lot of purses and switch them out mostly for seasons or specific use.

I have crossbody purses from lots of brands in all different styles/sizes. LUG makes some really great ones. I also really like Kippling and the Dooney & Burke nylon line.

I made myself a Necessary Clutch Wallet and added a shoulder strap. This picture is from the website - I have made a couple now and I love picking out the fabric for them.

I have a black leather Fossil crossbody for my everyday purse. It's similar to this one: www.fossil.com/en-us/products/fiona-crossbody/ZB7669200.htmlI love it. DH knew I'd been looking but my VERY specific requirements were making it difficult. (must have an outer zipped pocket for DS's EpiPens; zippered main compartment large enough for my big wallet; side interior pocket for my phone and small interior pockets for my small Purell bottle (I carried that well before Covid); wide, long strap (I'm v tall and wanted it to hit nicely on my hip); big enough to fit my Canon DSLR--but not so big it looks like a diaper bag. And a plus I didn't need until now is the exterior non-zippered pocket fits a pack of 4 KN95 masks that I keep as backups. That pocket used to hold napkins JIC someone made a mess. Who knew "mask storage" would be something we'd need to worry about?! Anyway, he gave it to me for my bday 7 years ago and it still looks great. And DH still pats himself on the back for finding it lol.

Mine are all by Orla Kiely. Bog enough for umbrella, purse, glasses case and a water bottle.

Right now I’m using a Kipling cross body and I really like it because it’s very light and holds a lot.

Back when I had large breasts, I just hated how I looked wearing a cross body bag. They weren’t comfortable and looked awful on me, IMO. Now that I am much smaller, I love crossbody bags.
I have a Kavu rope bag that I wear as a sling pack and also crossbody. I have a couple of Brahmin crossbody bags for when I have to be dressy, but my Kavu is my everyday bag.

I don't use a crossbody daily, but I do use one when traveling. I typically use one that I got from REI (outdoors store), made by Sherpani. It's like a half-moon shape with a zipper, a magnetic closure, and a couple of pocket. Very roomy. They don't make that particular style anymore. One thing I don't like about it is roomy because it's not terribly structured, and "roomy" quickly turns to "disorganized mess."
I've been searching for a new travel bag... I bought two and I didn't like them when I got them. (Anyone need a bag? Happy to send pictures/rehome them to someone who might use them.) One of them, the zipper didn't open as far as I would like and it was making me feel claustrophobic (weird, I know), and the other one was just too small/didn't really expand much.
I did just buy a Lug crossbody (mambo is the style name) from QVC. Normally $55, on clearance for $33.25 plus $3.50 shipping. I think this one might finally be the winner. Lots of pockets in places that make sense to me.

My favorite casual one is from LLBean, but I bought it on clearance in 2015. It's a decent size so it holds a fair amount without being too big. There's a pocket for a phone on the outside flap and then on the body (under the flap) is a zippered pocket that has several slots for various things.

Another vote for Bagallini. I have 4 different ones, all from either TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. I’ve never paid more than $35 for any of them.

A crossbody strap is a requirement for all my handbags. I always preferred it, but now I need my arms free for dealing with special needs child.
Coach and Vera Bradley have been my preferred brands for selection, durability and interior pockets, and high quality adjustable straps.
Tried Tignanello, Baggalini and Kipling, but had issues with the straps.
