I miss the prices we used to pay and the quality of scrapbook products. My money doesn’t go nearly as far and there’s definitely a drop in quality.
I miss attending large sb conventions and crops.
I miss waiting and watching for new products released at CHA.

I miss having multiple stores around me, especially as they used to cater to slightly different markets, so one was totally into the latest and greatest, another could be counted on to have the older stuff I'd either not bought or used and loved, and one had an entire wall of their store dedicated to BG

I miss having a LSS nearby, numerous crops and friends who enjoyed scrapping too.

I miss my local scrapbook store! Scrap Shack was just down the road. I got to touch product and match things across collections and manufacturers. I miss their friendly chatter. They knew I was pregnant before my husband! On my way home from my OBGYN appointment, I stopped there and they helped me put together a small 6x6 scrapbook with my ultrasound pictures. I miss that kind of stuff so much. This, exactly. Some of the best pages I have ever made were because I was able to go into the store with my photos and mix and match papers and embellishments from all different manufacturers. It is next to impossible to do that online!

Oh and this.. I was watching New in Town and it was hilarious to see them scrapbooking and calling themselves scrappers. Middle of winter and all the ladies gathered together on a small kitchen table. Ugggg... I miss that so much. I used to clear out my family room, put up a couple of tables, friends would come over and we would spend a day or two all day and well into the evening just scrapping. The food all laid out in the kitchen with snacks of course. We used to do this as well at a friend's place. I am lucky enough that friend organises us twice a year to go to private retreats... one in Summer, one in Winter. We are about to go to our winter one next week... 3 night away doing just waht we wanna!!

I miss CKU because they really got me hyped for creating. I also miss all the scrapbooking magazines that were available. Same here.
But even more than that I miss kit clubs. Little Red Scrapbook and Gossamer Blue were my favorites.
I also really miss the magazines, and most of all I Just miss the chatter, the excitement, the communities. I miss the online communities. I met some of my closest friends on ScrapbookAddict.com and some of those ladies I think are still on this board!

At one point Central Ohio had 8 scrapbook stores, including an Archiver. I loved going to scrapbook stores and crops. I also miss magazines- it was always so fun to flip through the pages- I even liked the ads. I miss really fast scrapbook message boards like the old 2peas. I miss old scrapbook companies: Basic Grey, October Afternoon, Sassafras Lass, and many more. I miss the time when everyone was scrapbooking. My annual scrapbook retreat could easily get 16-18 people. Now it is so hard to get 10. I miss all of the choices of scrapbook kit clubs. Yes! We lived there then and I taught at one of them (Scrapbook Art) It was nothing for me to go to 4 scrapbook stores in one afternoon.

I miss the LSS stores. They use to sponsor a run so you would check out several different stores. I don't even know where one is located around me anymore. The last surviving one got squished during covid. Nothing beats going in a store and seeing the new patterns for yourself. And the conventions.
