I completely forgot about the holiday Junior Mints from last year! I went to Target today and got 2 boxes as well as the Ghiradelli peppermint bark - I have never tried the peppermint bark before and hadn't heard about it until reading thru this thread!

Yesterday I was in Trader Joe's and happened to see a lady RIP open a box of something in the frozen food aisle (you know where the sweet goodies are lined up on the top shelf). So of course I had to move closer to see what she was munching on....it was a seasonal box of chocolate covered marshmallows with peppermint flavoring. Normally they would have not caught my eye, but because of this thread I scooped up the box and put it in my cart. They box is gone by the way, ate every last one! While I was in line getting ready to pay, I saw the Joe Joes. I did not buy them. Buy I think I need to go back to that store...for marshmallows...and Joe Joes. ; ) I wonder if that lady was a Pea?

My favourite Twix was also the original peanut butter on the original shortbread cookie bottom. --there are homemade versions of Twix, perhaps I could find a recipe for the peanut butter ones.
I love the Ghirardelli squares--dark chocolate with mint filling and the chocolate with caramel. I only get these at Christmas.
My dh's family was originally from Belgium, and they have an old recipe for buttery cookies you make in a special waffle iron on the stovetop. They're thick and really good. My SIL makes them every year.
I also love the Stroopwaffles--the really thin round waffle cookies with caramel filling. I've found them at Trader Joe's before--I think they even have them year round.
I also make homemade Reese's Rival -- no bake peanut butter bars topped with chocolate. You can also make these into balls or peanut butter cups. Beware--if you make these for other people, they will demand them every year. I'm making some this year for the staff at my doctor's office and for our family Christmases.
I also love the Almond Rocca and Cello chocolate covered cherries.
If I could only have one special treat at Christmas, I'd go with frosted sugar cookies. Or peanut blossoms with the chocolate kiss on top.
