You can buy entire identities, why wouldn't you be able to get a fake paper card?

How stupid does one have to be to buy a fake when you can get a real one for FREE?! LOL!

Speaking of vax cards ... is it ok to laminate them? I wish they were credit card sized.

Speaking of vax cards ... is it ok to laminate them? I wish they were credit card sized. At first, people were laminating them, and some places were even doing it for free. But later on they recommended that you don't laminate them. Yeah, I wish they were smaller too.

I wouldn’t laminate either. If yours has the vaccine info printed on a label, the heat from the laminator has been known to affect the label and turn it dark/unreadable.

Some states, like California, have digital cards you can download or take a screenshot of. Check with your states Covid site.

I see a lot of these in stockings this year! Along with some fabulous virus themed options (“I’m vaccinated. Because science” is a personal favorite) I also like the Star Wars, Harry Potter and Hamilton themed items. TFS!

Definitely don’t laminate. I got my third jab today and they definitely add the information to the same card.

I wonder how soon, people will start getting fines for fake ones? OR even if they will be fined.
I copied mine and laminated the copy to put in my purse. (The front and back were copied on separate pieces of paper, cut out and glued together before laminating.) I also used a sharpie to write on the back after laminating that this was a copy, not the original.

We had two people try and enter our border without quarantining on fake US vaccine cards. They were fined $10,000 each and sent home. It was in our news.
Our vaccine record is a digital app. We have a card but it isn’t ‘official’ as anyone can write on the card or get a fake card. I’m sure one could fake the digital app as well but it would be harder. Anything can be faked so why not your vaccine record. We needed proof of vaccine to enter a province this week. We had to get approved prior to arrival, we did it days ahead but it can be hours. But the proof must be sent in for approval. With approval we didn’t need to quarantine but we still needed a swab. Needless to say this province has almost no cases, I think they had 7.

I honestly don't get it. I thought the anti-vaxxers were proud of their status and called the rest of us sheeple. Then they go out and buy a fake vax card? Stand up for your principles assholes.

It's 2021 FFS, why are they doing paper cards? It will be interesting to see whether other countries will accept ye olde paper cards when international travel is allowed again (assuming other countries will require proof of vaccination).

Yes - I know that some "people don't want the vaccination." "They just want the card so they can access places/activities ..." then rather than imperiling the people who have followed the rules, stayed home when it was called for, masked and continue to mask, taken the vaccine, the unvaccinated should stay OUT of places that require proof of vaccination. But of course - they simply want what they want, when and how they want it ... and fuck the rest of us.

That is what we are using. Digital can be altered as well. The US can travel to most locations. Places like Europe are accepting it as proof of vaccination.

I did have to show my dr and as I was handing it to her I let her know the original was at home. She is now recommending this to all her patients. I haven't had any problems with this. My husband's job accepted his. Jennifer

On one of my local FB groups, there was a woman asking what she should do about her ex’s wife. The ex’s wife is a nurse at a large hospital system that is requiring vaccines. She was boasting about how nobody was going to make her get vaccinated and she was going to get a fake vaccine card.

I can't even find my real one, which is totally unlike me. It's such an awkward size; what the heck did I do with it?! I'm glad I thought to take a photo of it at least. Must now tear apart the house searching.

Speaking of vax cards ... is it ok to laminate them? I wish they were credit card sized. I called Staples and we are going to get a couple copies made and a couple made smaller to fit in a wallet. We are getting the copies laminated. I want my college daughter to have one with her and a back up if she looses the card. They have to be vaccinated to attend the school, so the school already has a copy as proof.
I forget the cost, but it wasn't too much. Not sure if we will get the original laminated too, or wait and see if we have to get a booster.

Don’t laminate or you could be turned down when you go for a booster! I went this morning for my booster and they added it to my card. The pharmacist wh o gave it to me said that those who had laminated cards could not get the booster because of the influx of fake cards, etc. it was their policy not to even check them. My card was checked and the lot numbers were registered to the facility that administered mine so it was considered a legit card and I got the 3rd dose booster. Cards have to be unaltered to be verified. Fake cards may have random numbers or actual numbers that don’t register to the locations near the patients address so that is a flag and the card is retained by the pharmacist for further verification before you can get a booster.
