I keep seeing these awful Rob Lowe commercials comparing Cool Rob Lowe who has DirectTV and Weird Rob Lowe that doesn't have DirectTV. Lesser actors would have their careers ruined by these horrible commercials. I seriously can't decide which one is worse: Awkward Rob Lowe who has issues in public men's room  OR Really Hairy Rob Lowe with "armhair curtains"  and a comb stuck in his back hair... |

I think the hairy one is disgusting, but I just crack up at the socially awkward Rob Lowe.
I mainly just focus on the good Rob Lowe..

They *were* funny, the first 10 times. I guess DirectTV throws them in whenever they have a commercial spot that needs filling.
The "arm hair curtains" and tangled up comb just give the heebie jeebies, as does public men's rooms---dh tells me no guy willingly goes to the urinal right beside another guy.

I have a well known hate for commercials. I tune them out, as in I can be staring right at the T.V & not know what just happened. And even I think they are funny.  |

I think they're hilarious. Last week, I read a book about John Hughes and "The Brat Pack," and it talked about what happened between him and two girls/women he picked up in the bar. For him to have done that and gotten through it -- and learned from it -- is admirable.
And if Dish doesn't freaking get CNN back, I may indeed be switching to DirectTV.

Put me in the 'I think they're hilarious' group.
And kudos to a guy who made his living primarily on his looks to be so willing to look so dorky (painfully awkward Rob Lowe), skeevy (super creepy Rob Lowe) & just plain gross (crazy hairy). Gotta be confident to do that and confidence is always sexy. He can smell my hair any time, lol.

I love Rob Lowe, and think the commercials are really clever and funny. It always gives me a chuckle when the St. Elmo's Fire music plays at the end.
