I wear them all day, every day. I have a pair for in the house and a pair for outside the house, and a pair for running errands and etc. They make my feet feel the most supported and even work best for back pain/weakness.

Yes, I've heard of this as well. As mentioned earlier it's an issue for resellers because you never know when it might happen, and if it happens when they have shoes in storage or shortly after selling them, it causes them problems.
But yes, it can definitely happen to any brand shoe with that type of sole. It's unfortunate, because from what I've heard, people who have several pair, and keep them in the same place, will just randomly have one pair develop the issue, leaving them to wonder why that one pair, even if they have older shoes that are still fine.

In light of the recent drama on the board, I opened this thread and read Patter denying that she'd ever heard of Dansko's crumbling... and thought, "Oh yes she has. I distinctly remember her chiming in about this in the past." Why in the world would she lie about something like shoes?!? Lol. Well, indeed. Once I looked at the dates, I realized this very thread was where I had read that. Should have had that second cup of coffee!

Yes, I remember reading and I think I also commented in this thread. I remember because it happened to me although I am not sure it was actually Dansko.
