How long do you need to reheat a rotisserie chicken bought from the grocery store? My DH puts it on 350 degrees in oven for about 35-50 minutes, wrapped in foil. Is this necessary? Then he pulls off all the meat and chops it into slices, so it's luke-warm after he dissembles it. Comments? For some reason, this drives me crazy as all of the moisture is gone.

I dont reheat it. Cold chicken is delicious. Reheated chicken is dry at best. Icky at worst

35-50 minutes sounds like a very long time! It would dry it out. I don’t buy more than we will use, so I don’t have to reheat it. If I’m going to freeze one for some reason, I pull it first. Then that chicken never is just eaten, it goes in dishes, so it isn’t dry.

We remove what we want to eat and microwave if necessary. I will eat rotisserie chicken cold.

Depending on how much is left, I’ll leave it in the plastic pod and microwave it for 3-6 minutes. If only one person is having some, they will cut off what they want and microwave just their portion on a plate under a splatter cover for a couple minutes.

We bring it home in the pod, it is still hot at the store, cut it up and eat it.

Usually I get Costco's chicken, and I'll eat a piece warm immediately when I get home (since it's still warm from the store). Then that night we eat for dinner, but everyone cuts off their own piece. Sometimes I'll cut it but only into pieces -- leg, thigh, wings, etc. -- not taking all the meat off. If it's straight from the fridge we might heat it for 30 seconds or so in the microwave. I would never put it in the oven for 35 minutes.

If I'm going to reheat a whole chicken, I take it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before I reheat it, put it in a casserole dish with 1C of chicken broth; cover it tightly with foil and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. We don't eat skin, so I don't bother crisping it, but you could broil it for a couple of minutes, if you do.

That seems way too long. I would eat right away, or cold, or shred it then microwave.

Just cut off what you want and warm it in the microwave. We either eat it warm or I de-bone it and use it in a recipe. I like to de-bone it when it's warm even if I don't use it until the next day.

I always nibble and nibble while taking all of the meat off of the carcass as soon as I bring it home from Costco. Then we eat it in all sorts of dishes. I love it in salad cold. If I want to heat it I do it for a minute at time in the microwave at 70% power so it doesn't get rubbery. I like using it in soups and "Buddha bowls" and salads and sometimes make a white chili. I also freeze it sometimes.

Off the top of my head, I don't know, but the instructions are on the package.

I'm pretty sure the oven instructions on Costco's chickens say to cover in foil and bake for 50 minutes. My kids really like crispy skin so I microwave for 6ish minutes at 50% power and then put it in the air fryer or convection oven for 5 minutes. It always comes out great.

I feel like this is a trick question. The beauty of rotisserie chicken IMHO is it comes home ready to eat. Just cut and serve.

I have never reheated the whole chicken. That's the allure of the grocery store rotisserie chicken... I don't have to cook it!
That seems like a really long time to cook an already cooked chicken. I'd just cut it up and then microwave the pieces you want.

I usually shop early in the day so reheat for dinner I put it in a covered roaster for almost an hour snd it’s never dry. This is for a Sam’s club or Costco one grocery store ones are usually a lot smaller so I would heat less.

If We don’t eat it right away at dinner time we all take our piece and heat it up in the micro. No way Am I using the oven, it defeats the purpose.

The chicken is already cooked so we either eat it warm from the store or everyone cuts off their piece and uses the microwave to reheat.

Right, but for our family of three we never eat the whole thing in one sitting. There are always leftovers, so sometimes we reheat it as is and other times I debone it and make it into other dishes.

We just either eat it right away while still hot or slice off pieces and microwave. I've never put the whole thing in the oven, that seems like it would dry it right out and I hate dry chicken.

We cut it up and warm in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. Comes out still juicy.

I have an extreme aversion to leftover chicken when it is microwaved, to the point where it makes me gag, so I would use the oven.

The Costco rotisserie chicken retreats nicely in the microwave at 30 seconds. I just cut off what I want for that serving. Comes out super moist still!

I generally don't reheat it because I like it cold, but if I do want it heated I just pop my portion into the microwave.
