And she supposedly gave away her 7million dollar divorce settlement too, that she hasn't actually donated yet, just pledged it LOL. Aka hoped that no one would find out. It was part of the agreement that the money go to two charities. Did you watch the testimony? She reminded me of Alice in Wonderland where Humpty Dumpty says, “When I use a word it means what I choose it to mean.” I did watch that part of her testimony. She was trying to cover her ass without admitting she hadn't written the checks out!

Right. She kept repeating - I pledged it. Over and over. Her demeanor in the courtroom was not, one tiny bit, likable. Or, believable.

I think it was very brave of Johnny to bring the suit, knowing the embarrassing and even humiliating things that would come out. He had originally agreed to quite a lot during the divorce proceedings, I’m guessing because of her basically blackmailing him.
But as soon as the ink dried and she got that $7 million, she wrote that op-ed. As his life fell apart, and he saw how it impacted not only him, but his family and every other person in his employ or that was supportive of him, it became clear what he had to do.
Although I’m not a huge fan, I’m grateful he went through it. I do have experience with DV, ( and guess what, Amber? Have the hospital records to back it up ), and no one, male or female should prey on the sympathy and provisions meant for actual victims for manipulative reasons.

I took her testimony about the $$ to mean that although she DID receive the $$ from the divorce, she had expenses and could only agree to pay both charities in installments. (NOT to defend her in any way!!)

That does ring a bell..... but I do remember that they pressed her and she said how much she gave each charity and that she "intended" to give them what she promised (ha!).

She was just so smug about her donations when she was on some UK show. She made it sound like she personally wrote checks in full to those charities. She loved how the host and other guests on the show fawned over her for those donations. It was gross to watch.

For many minutes she stuck to pledging being the same as donating. And the tax break thing if the money went directly to the charities from JD. Finally she said she couldn’t because Johnny sued her. But he did that some years after she received the money. Maybe she eventually said she would have to pay in installments? But she didn’t actually donate a penny.

There was an interview last night from a male juror - he wished to remain anon, so it was his voice and he was not on camera, but he spoke about how uncomfortable AH made him, as she looked at him all the time - it got so bad, he shifted his position and wouldn't look at her either!
It will be fascinating if more of the jury speaks.

Here’s the link to the part of the trial about the $7 million donation. 15:45 - the beginning 17:50 - gets into the actual donated/pledged back and forth It goes to about 22:50. I was wrong - it wasn’t years after getting the money that JD sued AH for defamation. It was 13 months. But the timeline still holds. youtu.be/EQSnaq9N0v8

And now the ACLU is suing Johnny for $86,000 for their legal fees in getting their stuff together for court.

As much as I have been invested in this trial - I will not be watching anything that she does going forward. She sickens me. And, as much as I was riveted by JD in court, I’ve never even watched one of his movies. That is subject to change soon. I was unable to record any of it as I could only watch it on my over the air tv. Or, I’d be watching him testify over and over. Insert swoon here. 😊 Sleepy Hollow. I love that movie. JD is lit so beautifully in that movie. I would add Ed Wood, Donnie Brasco, and Secret Window to the list of must see Johnny Depp movies.

Omg, when she's said that I wanted to shake her through the tv. Obviously, not only does she not know the difference between a pledge and a donation but she clearly doesn't know that a PLEDGE is different than a DEBT. A mortgage is a DEBT and legal obligation that has to be satisfied in exchange for ownership of a home. A pledge is implies a moral obligation that money will be donated without expectation of anything in return.

A link to the exact testimony you’re referring to where she was grasping at straws is in my post that’s four above your post (that I’m responding to now). She didn’t pay anything. JD paid $100,000 to each of the charities, and gave $7 million to her to give $3.5 to each of the charities. He was willing to pay them directly but she didn’t want him to have the tax break. So he sent it to her.

It just was her only way to try to cover her massive lie that she had received so many accolades for. It was so bizarre. Goodbye credibility.

n’t pay anything. JD paid $100,000 to each of the charities, and gave $7 million to her to give $3.5 to each of the charities. He was willing to pay them directly but she didn’t want him to have the tax break. So he sent it to her. That's not accurate. I watched the testimony of the ACLU guy live and they questioned him very closely about what was donated and where exactly it came from and he clearly said some of the money was directly from Amber: now $350,000 isn't the same as $3.5M but it's simply not true to say she "didn't pay anything" H also said they sent her a "pledge schedule" that outlined what amounts to donate and when...but she never signed it and they hadn't got any more money from her since 2018.

I’m wrong then. She owes $6,650,000.00. But how bizarre - why didn’t she say she paid that, because she finally admitted - link above - that she had not. Musk apparently set up his fund with his own money.

If you want swoon watch 21 Jumpstreet. I am glad the verdict is what it is. I also hope he can and will get the help he needs. Al Edward Scissorhands is everything you said it would be. Wow. Just wow. Thank you for recommending it. 😊

Rolling Stone searched the 990 tax forms for the ACLU and the ACLU Foundation covering the period of April 1, 2016, through March 31, 2017, and found no donation matching that dollar figure.” “Depp’s legal team sent the first of six subpoenas to the ACLU to hand over records regarding a $3.5 million donation reportedly made by Heard. But the organization repeatedly stonewalled Depp’s team, forcing the actor to petition a New York court to compel the nonprofit to turn over a cache of documents. That motion was successful, unleashing a torrent of exhibits and testimony that offers a stunning window into how a venerable nonprofit became deeply entwined with Heard and Musk.” And of course the were behind the op ed piece in the first place. www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/amber-heard-elon-musk-aclu-donation-1352306/
