Ah bless the two young ones are at the concert too, together with Peter Phillips daughters. I’m a little delayed, I always pause TV. How gorgeous does Princess Charlotte look.

I saw Queen in concert in 1986 in Newcastle and have never been sure about Adam Lambert replacing Freddie, but he did an amazing job. They were brilliant, I hope my neighbours like them as my volume was on full!

I agree. They do seem to get it spot on. Charlotte does seem to have more confidence than George. Perfect timing in their lives to be included in this Jubilee. I hope we now start to see a bit more of them. I wonder if some of it is his age - he's probably beginning to get old enough that he is getting an inkling of what is in store for him someday, and it has to be overwhelming. But I agree, she appears more confident in public, at least at this time. This is all so lovely. I was a bit worried that the Queen might not make it to this grand celebration with all the trials and tribulations of the past year in particular. She is a truly amazing woman!

The concert looked good! One of my patients had it on live overnight and I saw a few glimpses when I went into her room. It's being replayed in the evening here and I'll watch the whole thing then.
I liked seeing George and Charlotte doing a public engagement today, while being supported and guided by the parents. That's how they should learn and I think Charles & Diana failed their sons in this aspect. Interest in them will always be high and they need to learn to navigate that in a more positive way than W & H did. The greatgrandchildren won't have the Queen around for too much longer but it's great that they will have some fun memories of celebrating this Royal, and also family event. ...and yes, I'll say it, Harry looks like an even bigger bitter, spoilt twat now for betraying his family and throwing it all away. He's at home sulking instead of at the concert having a good time. He's not only missing out himself he's denying his children from experiencing a large close family.

Didn’t he look ridiculous these past few days? Throwing a fit about and suing over police protection, then driving around with the windows down. Yea, he’s real concerned about safety. Purposely making a big fuss and posing by the windows during the parade. Absolute gits.

Didn’t he look ridiculous these past few days? I don't even know why they bothered coming, it doesn't look like they've included their own kids in any of it...they are shushing other kids in the window, but they aren't at the window with Archie showing him what's going on. They didn't go to the event after the Thanksgiving service, they didn't attend the races or any other events today and they didn't go to the concert. The story is they were celebrating Lili's birthday privately...yes it must have been very "private" because we saw where all the rest of the family were today and it wasn't at any 1yo's birthday party. They've lobbed bomb after bomb at his family in the media over the last two years...did they really expect they'd be placed front and center during this celebration? Eugenie seems to be the only one who is still willing to maintain a relationship with him.

Have you seen any of the videos showing a strange bump on Meghan’s outfits the past few days and wondering if it’s a microphone? I’m sure the Queen’s security is better than that, but the bump in the same place on multiple days did make me wonder. The Body Language Guy had a great video on the Thanksgiving service.

I did see that, but I think under that white coat dress, it's just the cross over and some sort of fastening to keep it in place. She has also always made bad underwear choices and there's often lumpy bits visible under her clothes. I doubt she'd be able to get away with a microphone, but even if she did, they were sat with the lesser cousins and only a few people spoke to them anyway.

I’m no fan of Meghan’s, but I think it is unfair to try to interpret a photo taken without being posed; just taken as the person involved was doing something, and then to declare your interpretation as being what happened.
Perhaps the photo of her at the window with the 3 girls showed her having fun with the girls; she was grinning and holding her finger up to her lips - couldn’t she have been saying “so it’s our secret, ok?” as they were playing? I know I’ve done that - holding the finger to your lips while smiling, to signify a secret - hasn’t everyone?
I have been all shades of critical about H&M, and I continue to be. But they are in a no-win situation right now - there is absolutely nothing they could do that would be the right thing.
If they stayed in America, they would have been slated, and rightly so. So they decided to go to UK for the Jubilee. Since that became known, there have been many media commentators expressing the hope that they don’t overshadow the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family. So they have pretty well kept out of sight of the public. They have joined with the “lower ranks” of the extended Royal Family and have been part of the celebrations.
But now they are being slated for doing so. Should they be out there in full view, giving the media all the opportunities to focus on them instead of on the Queen or on Charles, William and Catherine if the Queen is not present?
Does anyone really believe the press would cover them briefly if they were in full public view?
Their choices are: - Stay in the background as much as possible, and have people say they are sulking. - Be out and about which would give the press the opportunity to really focus on them, at which point people would say they made it all about themselves instead of about the Queen.
Which option should they have taken? Are there any other options, so that everyone would be happy?

Humbly staying out of the limelight to me is the right decision.

I lean towards they weren't given an option. Either do it this way or don't come. I think you are giving them too much credit in thinking they could outshine The Queen, William & Catherine especially. Or even the Cambridge children. Sure, maybe they are more interesting than Charles (LOL) but that's about it.

I can’t speak for KiwiJo but I took her comment to be about the media splashing H and M all over in order to create controversy and sell papers or get clicks. Not that they would actually “outshine” them.

I think you are giving them too much credit in thinking they could outshine The Queen, William & Catherine especially. Or even the Cambridge children. Sure, maybe they are more interesting than Charles (LOL) but that's about it. Oh, I’m sure they were asked not to cause a fuss, but I honestly don’t think Harry would try to outshine the Queen anyway. But if they appeared in public at the Trooping of the Colour, or the concert, there would be camera operators concentrating solely on them as well as lipreaders and body language ‘experts’ dissecting their every breath, looking for something they could use. It wouldn’t be Harry’s or Meghan’s fault that they subsequently took up more news space than the rest of the Royals put together. Let’s face it, the job of news broadcasters (print, tv, online, whatever) is to get as many readers and viewers as possible, it is not to altruistically tell everyone what is happening. If they can increase their viewers by creating drama, they will. So right now, they are want to portray H & M in whatever way they can to encourage more readers - sulking, focussing on themselves, hiding, shushing other people’s children……. H & M are newsworthy, so they are in a no-win situation, regardless of what they do.

Did you see the shots of George during Sweet Caroline? He knew all the words. That cracked me up for some reason. It's possible that Aston Villa Football club is the reason! William choose Aston Villa to support when he had to pick a club, rather than the more obvious Liverpool or Man Utd or a London club etc. Aston Villa are based in Birmingham and play in the Premier League In the last few years, Villa fans have taken to singing Sweet Caroline, I'm going to assume George learnt the song through his dad's support of the team. I know George has been to matches with his Dad. You sometimes see them when the tv cameras scan the crowd.
