Creami. It just bugs me. It seems way too cutesy for a product where the other word is Ninja.
And since we haven’t had a thread in a while listing words/phrases we wish would stop, I’ll add my hatred of “crime scene period”. Please.
I think that’s it.

I'm irrationally bugged by the spelling of the number 40. It should be fourty.
Forty to me is like a kids living room fort, "It's kind of fort-y looking".

I'm irrationally irritated by people who pronounce February with only one R and those who use 'less' for countable items.

Mine is grammar rather than spelling, but it is not, nor has it ever been should of. As in, "I should of not gone to the pool because of my crime scene period." Should HAVE. It's should HAVE.

I think Creami is creepi. Me too! I appreciate this post so much, today. I was recently looking for a new place to get my hair cut. There is a FaceBook group for our area, so I asked the group for suggestions. One particular place is recommended by many people. The name is : Hair E mvy. It drives me nuts. I cannot determine if that is how the person that named the salon thought envy was spelled, or maybe her name is Emma or Emily..... I just can't deal with it!

Phoenix vs Phenix. I know the second one is legit, but it bugs me to see it spelled without the “o”.

Yes to all of these. I am irrationally bothered by too many misspelled words all over the net. It seems no one knows what wrought iron is, but they all have fences made from rod iron or rot iron or some other version.
I could start listing all the irritating misspellings, but then I would just make myself cranky, so I’ll just agree with things that others post that annoy me too.

You do not barrow something, you borrow it. Ugh! I see that one frequently on Facebook.
On YouTube someone I watch "borrows books to people." It's lend! I am not sure if it's a regional thing (she is from Wisconsin) or just this particular person...

The confusion I see constantly online between the words "sell" and "sale". It seems no one knows what wrought iron is, but they all have fences made from rod iron or rot iron or some other version. They all most likely have a "Chester Drawers" in their bedrooms as well! It is "chest of drawers" people!

I am seeing many people say/write “It’s my husband and I’s favorite restaurant…” or some variation of that. One Instagrammer I follow who uses it regularly actually wants to be a writer. 😳

One that I see here, at least once per week, is “loose” when people mean “lose.”
You do not, not will you ever, loose weight. You will lose weight and your clothes will become loose on you.

Recently I’ve been watching Rachel’s English on YouTube. She helps English learners pronounce words so they sound like a native speaker. Along the way she addresses sounds that are deleted or changed. I find it fascinating! Here’s one of her videos on words where we don’t actually say the “t”. You can check out her other videos from there. youtu.be/5svtIgYDJDI

I remember a thread where a pea was saying she would never ever buy those laundry freshener things called Unstopables because the name was spelled wrong. I wonder who that was and if they have hopped on the Creami bandwagon.

One Instagrammer I follow who uses it regularly actually wants to be a writer. 😳 "Myself and my wife" on Facebook made me shudder this week. As did "I seen the lost dog". And the Ninja Creami has also been getting on my nerves. It reminds me of the Kardashian child named Stormi. Nobody uses "little" any more. It's "li'l", but without the apostrophe because that would be too correct. I have to step away. I'm getting too irritated.

I hate the use of gifted as a verb. "Mary gifted me a candle". It really gets on my nerves.

My number one irritant is the use of the word “prolly” instead of probably.

I just get annoyed at parents who spell their child's name in (what I consider to be) a weird way ... I'm a teacher so I've seen it all Apparently, 13 years ago it was not unusual to spell the name "Liam" as "Liem" ... I taught not one, but two! Drove me nuts!
