It's been an unusually not-hot and not-washrag-humid August where I live, which has me thinking about fall clothing. I know that I need to replace a few items in my close. At least one new fleece jacket and a few new long sleeve shirts.
I'm curious, Peas, what's on your fall "must have" clothing list? Which pieces are a must for your closet? Favorite brands?
My list includes: Long sleeve shirts Vests with a zipper - maybe fleece, maybe not fleece Long sleeve fleece jacket Jeans Leggings Rain coat Rain boots Long socks Mittens for chillier days
My beloved fleece jacket was a Columbia. I have two rain jackets - REI and a North Face and like them both.

Shorts, tee shirts, and Vans. LOL
I will be wearing those at least thru mid October. I hope early October will be mild but who knows.
I need to add 2 new pairs of jeans, a new pair of boots, and new KC Chiefs hoodies to my wardrobe. Oh and soft fleece zip up jacket.
Have a nice jacket if needed.
I am pretty basic.

My 2nd job is going to take me outside, so warm socks and gloves/mittens.
I have cardigans galore as I never know what temp my school building will be.

The same as I wear all the time plus hoodies. So..
Cropped jeans, tee shirt or nice tank top, with Chaco sandals.
When it gets too cold for crops and chaco’s, I switch to crops and tall uggs with a hoodie over my tee/tank or boot cut jeans and docs with a hoodie over my tee/tank.
I love that I can dress super casual for teaching.

I'm a teacher and I don't do outside! I usually wear Lululemon leggings with a blazer and cowboy boots ... sounds weird I know but it is my signature style This summer, I have actually bought some jeans and black chelsea boots ... I never wear jeans so we'll see how that goes over! I bought some new tanks and t-shirts to go under my various blazers ... one tank is a cotton sweater material in a gorgeous tan colour ... once it cools down here I'll wear it! I'm in Canada so my brands probably wouldn't apply to you other than American Eagle, Guess and Levi's

I usually wear leggings, tank top, cardigan.
I don't need anything. If I happen to see inexpensive (under $10) pair of legging in a pattern I like or a plum color, then I will buy them.

Fall is often our warmest time of the year - but once it starts cooling down in November I’m in jeans, cozy sweaters and booties

I’m hoping to find a good pair of short boots and some jeans. All of our household goods are in storage now, so I’ll add to that if it’s a long time before we get everything. We will see how the house hunting goes!

I'm searching everywhere for a black shoe that I can dress up or dress down and wear into the winter when it's not too snowy out. When it's snowing, I wear boots.
I am also looking for a new pair of hiking boots. Comfortable, lightweight, and waterproof for my camping trip in October.
We are camping in Tennessee and I'm unclear on what our weather will be like so just in case, I want to pick up a couple of long sleeve tshirts.
I also have my eye on a pair of black wool leggings as I like leggings under my dresses when it is really cold. A new pair of black tights. And a gray cardigan. I have one I absolutely love in my closet. But I'm looking for something a bit dressier for days when I have to go into the office.
This is what I want for fall and winter.

Fall is usually pretty warm around here. I'm looking for some lightweight casual tops in Fall colors and prints that I can wear w/ jeans and pants.

I really like them! I dreaded buying new boots, but it was time. Super happy with my purchase.

My clothes are all fairly classic, a lot of white and black and some prints to break it up. Twice a year I replace a few of the white T-shirts and white blouses. BUT, my obsession is coats. Short car coats, longer dress coats, short rain coat, longer dress rain coat, and poncho style to go over things with bigger sleeves, a long, warm, walk-the-dog coat, a puffy coat that folds up tiny for airplanes, a sporty leather jacket, etc. And lots of different shoes. For some reason, coats and shoes are the things I always seem to "need" more of.

Things I’ll add to my wardrobe this fall/winter:
A good pair of cords in a current cut and rich color
I would love to find wedge sneakers to replace my absolute favorite pair that I wore to death and absolutely can’t find a replacement for
Cropped sweaters - absolutely love the trend of more cropped tops.

I really want a Mary Jane that has kind of a thick sole but not a platform and not a high heel. I just can't seem to come up with my perfect one. ETA: I'm also trying to find something that ethically produced.

Long sleeve Eddie Bauer t's knit pants Land's End flannel shirts A few vests. An all weather jacket
I bought some black wide leg pants from Chicos and a shirt with very full sleeves I'm anxious to wear this fall. The sleeves in the shirt sort of remind me of the puffy shirt on Sienfeld though the rest of the shirt is more tailored. I have some dangly earrings and black flats to wear with it.

I shouldn't need to buy anything. I'm not really into fashion, I wear jeans and tshirts year round, for fall I add a fleece jacket. Shoes, bag etc same year round so no purchases needed.

I have lost a ton of weight so almost nothing fits from last year. I have already started buying things for my closet, but here is my list for specifically Fall:
black skinny jeans Flannel shacket in a camel color dressier brown tall boot Bright pinl/fushia sweater (Talbots has one I am debating) Olive green sweater (maybe?) Tie waist denim jacket Hot pink quilted vest Probably a new (packable) heavy coat for snow Black and white striped long sleeve t shirt
I usually plan my closet around a color scheme, and I am leaning towards things in hot pink, olive green, black and some camel.
