That is darling! I wish it was in my yard for when my DGD visits. She would love it!

It would be awesome to live by a lake, but I couldn't do 400sf. My neighbor's daughter had one built with about the same square footage and I think this house had a great photographer. That is a very small space. It is beautifully decorated though.

I could never do that small, especially since I'm still WFH. The first thing I thought when I went to the link was, "It's a tiny home - how can there be so many pictures?"

have you ever been to ikea where they have those little apartments set up and it says the square footage? i think i could live in any of those as a young person. i for sure couldn't live in one now, or, maybe i could, but i would have to get rid of my husband.

The listing says the property is still under development… did you notice all the electric meters? It looks like they are going to have them all right next to each other along the edge of the pond. I would like that tiny house for a lake home, but I wouldn't like it at all if there were that many neighbors next to you!

The land is not yours, so the price to me is exhoborent as there is also a $750/mo HOA fee. But I'm on the chubby side, I wouldn't fit very well. lol It would be difficult to live in that small of a space even if you were thin. lol

I’ve dreamed of owning a tiny home for several years...this is exactly what I’d want (if it were just me)!

I would like that tiny house for a lake home, but I wouldn't like it at all if there were that many neighbors next to you! There is a sketch of what the build out will look like. There are going to be 12 homes around a horseshoe shaped "street". And I read the monthly association fee is $750!! Yikes! I am thinking what if the development of the park and all the amenities never happens. It is a really cute house, but I wouldn't want to be that close to my neighbors. I would at least want a parking area right next to my house, not down the street.

It’s gorgeous but it’s just too small for me for more than a weekend. I do think I could live in a small home but I think I need at least 800sf if it also had a decent sized deck or patio.
I also need a good working space with a view - and that house has zero.

750$ a month in HOA fees?! I thought the reason most people bought a home is so they could stop paying monthly rent. This just feels like the worst of both worlds.

Just the house itself - I could live in something that size easily.
I couldn't do a tiny house with a loft bedroom, I'd kill myself climbing down a ladder or tiny staircase to pee overnight, but one like this where the bed is on the ground floor would be no problem. That one is really nice.

Gorgeous but my current scrapbook room is larger than the whole house.

That is really cute. Not my style though. I do not like built ins.
I could live in a tiny home, but only if I could design it myself. I would need a floor plan that fits me and my lifestyle.

That is adorable, and if it were just me I could manage. $750 hoa fees is crazy town.

I'm not terribly familiar with HOA's (thank goodness they're not nearly as popular up here as in the US) but 750$ a month seems like insane levels. The property better come with full utilities, gardener, housekeeper, a chauffer & car and a goddamn PONY for that price.

I think it is very nice. I think that I could live there, although if it was double the size it is it would be perfect.
I would probably have to have a storage unit. I would want a washer and dryer, and didn’t see that. I do think the setup works. My condo is only 980 sq ft, so small compared to others, but perfect for just me. I think the 300+ is a just a little too small for full time living but as a camp it would be easy.
I don’t think I would like 12 of them around a circle/horseshoe though. Spread out over the property would be better than all clumped together.
$750 for the association fee (and the purchase price of 150,000.00) seems high unless it includes the property taxes and some other big amenities. Although there are only 12 units to split the cost between so I guess it depends on what is included. Mine is only 200.00 a month for my condo and that seems high enough, although that is only for the very basics…we have no pool, tennis court, etc.

Cute but no go for me. The price along with the $750 HOA is crazy. The view is gorgeous though. I want to downsize some day but not that little space for more money! I thought our condo fees were expensive at $300 but we have a pool, gym and water and trash is included.

One issue with tiny houses is that it's often very difficult for people to find someplace they can legally have one. So when communities like this are given the go ahead, the situation can allow the owner(s) of the park to charge higher fees for itty bitty lots. Many times when you see someone with a tiny home on a larger lot it's either outside the borders of any town/city where regulations are not as iron clad or they are on property that belongs to someone else---a parent, or someone they have some sort of agreement with. I think tiny homes are fantastic for showing us that we can live in smaller spaces. I don't think we need to live in 400 or less square feet. But I do think that many, many people could certainly live in smaller homes than they are currently living in. And I think between issues with natural resources, environmental concerns, and lack of housing, it would be fantastic if the tiny home movement would spur some new housing developments being built around smaller homes. Not 400 sq. ft. kind of small, but maybe 800-1400 square feet kind of small---the same sizes that people were building & buying by the droves 100 years ago and right up through the start of the baby boom. And if nothing else, looking at a tiny home can possibly give one ideas on how to better utilize their own space more efficiently, no matter how much space they have.

I love looking at tiny houses! I follow Tinyhouse and Minimalhearth on Instagram. How they fit so much into small space is so clever. I can't see ever living in something that small because of my crafting and I wouldn't want the stairs as I age. I just like seeing how they do storage solutions because I could see downsizing.

I don’t want to ever live in one but the layout and design of this one appeals more than any other I’ve seen. Especially having a real bedroom and not some wonky loft space.
The location and costs for this one aren’t positives for me.

I would love to have a place like that for a weekend get-a-way kind of home...a 2nd home - place where I could go and relax and a little vacation spot.

I 100% could live in this. We sold our 2400 sqft house a little over a year ago and moved into a 1 bedroom condo. Once we got rid of all of the "stuff" it was easy. Living with less is so freeing.

Our very first rental house that Jeremy and I lived in was 850 sq feet. It's seemed overwhelming when our kids were little but we made do. Our current house is 1150 SQ feet with a full finished basement and now that the kids aren't living there anymore it almost seems too big. Or at the very least our basement seems very unnecessary except for one 6x8 storage room and the laundry room.
I finally cleaned out Esther's room and I will use it as a craft room when I'm ready. And my small craft room is really too small and I've been using it as a home office since COVID hit. So our three bedroom home will consistent of one bedroom for us, one home office, and one craft room.
The idea of having a bigger house just doesn't appeal to me.
I could totally live in a tiny home. And in fact, I plan to live out my retirement years as a 5 month winter camper down south. It doesn't phase me to think of living in a camper for half the year.

My husband travels for work and last year he was in Tampa. We rented a trailer in an RV park that was about that size. It wasn’t nearly as nice, but it worked for us. Who am I kidding it wasn’t as nice at all, thank golden rod bathtub. The owner of the park kept up with the maintenance it was just old and tired.
I think if we got rid of a lot of stuff, it would be doable. It is expensive though.
