Twitter may be gone next week

He’s brilliant, bold, and lacking a necessary level of social emotional IQ.

I thought he said he was when he hosted SNL.

"The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk tweeted, which is a Latin phrase that means "the voice of the people, the voice of God."

Trump's account was reinstated after Musk posted an online poll asking users on Twitter if he should unban the former president. Trump himself posted on his own social media platform urging his supporters to vote for him in the poll, which he ultimately won.

The final result was 51.8% of users voting yes and 48.2% voting no.

It appears Trump's follower count was reset and it is unclear if they will be added back.

Trump said earlier Saturday that he would not return to Twitter if reinstated when asked about Musk's recent poll about his banned account.

"Truth Social is through the roof, it's doing phenomenally well," Trump said of his own fledgling social media company. "And I'll be staying there."

Barf, is he saying he is God? 

Why would you want twitter to go under?  Seriously why?

Its not like trump wasn’t on twitter before or that a lot of his followers remained on twitter and posted the same crap he did.  Like this guy.

I live in wildfire country and anyone who does can appreciate how fast a fire can move once it’s started.  During wildfire season there is a network of sites that post about fires as soon as smoke is sighted and in many cases before first responders even arrive.  It gives one a heads up about what might be heading their way.

And it’s not just fires..

Hutton, who left the agency in 2020, is among the legion of government personnel, public safety officers and professional disaster communicators who reach for Twitter, where tens of millions of Americans maintain accounts, during a crisis. Public agencies use the platform to issue evacuation orders, warn of active shooters, dispel misinformation and direct residents away from road closures or toward shelters. During disasters, stranded civilians use the app to call for help, evacuees use it to check on their homes and journalists use it to gather news.”

Musk is destroying Twitter, treating employees horribly and firing everyone who doesnt want to work a "hardcore" 40 plus hour week in person. I won't support someone who does that.

I enjoy Twitter and the people/companies I follow. Musk is a terrible steward of the platform and I hope he fails.

I think most would say he is failing at this point. To have such a drastic turn around this quickly is nuts.

Nope. You were rude and insulting

I deleted because he got rid of all accessible persons who made Twitter accessible for those with disabilities. It was the only platform that was word based only (with some photos) but it could be adapted and was a life line to many with disabilities. 

Perhaps some form of functioning social media is needed, it doesn’t have to be Twitter. Someone else can build a platform.

Of course, you’ll have a hard time finding anything to post here when you can’t just copy and paste tweets all day 🤣 but the rest of us would be fine without it.
