For those who think twitter should fail here are two examples of why a social platform like twitter is needed.. This tweet was posted a couple of times today. It was this area where two of the most destructive fires burned through. In 2017 a fire took out 5,000 homes in the northern part of Santa Rosa. In 2020 another fire raced through this area and took out two neighborhoods in the north east part of Santa Rosa. So one could understand why people might get a little nervous if they smell or see smoke in this area. So if twitter dies, and it might, which social media platform can pick up the slack and get information “out there” where it’s needed as quickly as twitter can? Also posted on FB and IG. I get a lot of fire info off of FB.

And this
Some Tesla investors expressed concern as shares in the firm slumped Wednesday to their lowest level in over two years that Twitter may become a distraction for Musk, Reuters notes.
Musk has sold some 22 million Tesla shares worth $3.58 billion, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday.
The big picture: The Tesla CEO publicly stated twice this year that he didn't plan to sell any more shares in the electric vehicle maker. However, filings last month showed he sold at least $3.95 billion worth of Tesla stock after completing his $44 billion takeover of Twitter.

There's also an app called Watch Duty that is pretty popular. I don't know anyone in real life that uses Twitter.
