A few years ago I started doing a spread based on the breakfast buffets I have had at many European hotels. It’s:
Cheeses Cold cuts Salmon Fruit Salad greens Yogurt Granola
All can be pulled out of the fridge and nibbled on for a couple of hours.
To that, we add a homemade almond Kringle, but, I have a frozen one from Trader Joe’s in the fridge in case I run out of steam. I am also hosting dinner for the whole family, so, I gotta pace myself!

I've been practicing vegan Liege waffles in anticipation! With pearl sugar even . They take a minute to make so I am making them the day before. I will probably make a berry compote and some oat milk ice cream. My son eats meat, so I usually make him bacon or sausage on special holidays.

We've typically had a breakfast casserole and monkey bread. But this year for something different I'm doing a big crockpot of creamy stone ground grits and offering a grits bar. Toppings will include sauteed shrimp, country ham, chorizo, caramelized onions, several cheeses, diced scallions, halved cherry tomatoes, and whatever else I might think to add between now and then.

I rarely eat anything for breakfast on Christmas morning. Maybe some chocolate if anyone gives me any. Otherwise, I save my tummy space for the big feast that MIL puts on for lunch. This year I am hosting, so maybe I will nibble on the food as I'm cooking.

We've done different things over the years and have pretty much settled into scrambled eggs with pancetta, spinach and feta served in warm croissants.

I do something like this www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/baked-apple-french-toast.htmlI usually make this for when my kids have a sleepover and for christmas day. I can make it the day before and then just cut up fruit, fry some bacon, so its easy. I get the sliced brioche bread from Trader Joes. You can add some orange zest & raisins as well, which makes it christmassy.

I rotate between overnight French toast or a casserole with scrambled sausage/peppers/ topped with scrambled eggs and melted cheese. Both served with home made seasoned home fries. This year it’s the sausage casserole.
We open stockings while breakfast heats up, break to eat and then on to presents

We usually do scrambled eggs, bacor and sausage, and cinnamon rolls or french toast. However, DH is heading to Austin to pick up our son and bring him home for Christmas. I asked him to stop in West, Texas and pick up some kolaches. So, we will probably have some fruit kolaches and some sausage kolaches with eggs and bacon.

We do a breakfast croissant. I buy Pillsbury crescent roll dough and spread them out in a circle on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then I make scrambled eggs with ham, bell peppers & onions. I then scoop the eggs onto the dough and then sprinkle cheese on top. Then I pull the dough over the top and seal it up. Ends up looking like a big wreath. I cook it in the oven for about 20-30 minutes, or just until the crescent dough is cooked. The kids love it, and it is a tradition for us to have it.
I also do monkey bread so we can eat with our coffee while we open presents.

We have creme brulee french toast and bacon. The grown up kids love it. It's horribly unhealthy and it gets made twice a year, max (Thanksgiving and Christmas).

overnight French toast!! I've been making this since a coworker gave me the recipe in 2002 the year before I got married! Do you mind sharing the recipe?

Whatever anyone wants to cook for themselves. After meal prep and cooking for dinner, I ain't touching breakfast.
Dd can have homemade waffles or pancakes that are in the freezer and can cook her own turkey bacon.
Dh will most likely have cereal.
Me? Maybe some potatoes with onion.

Dh is the omelette king and will make made to order omelettes. Then we’ll add fruit and monkey bread (my adult kids love it).

It’s been fairly consistent the last 4-5 years: caramel rolls, cheesy potatoes, fruit, bacon, and a homemade eggnog latte for me

Years ago when the kids were little we always did Cinnabons and hot cocoa for first breakfast (during stockings and gift-opening), then on to omelettes or scrambled eggs with orange juice or mimosas for second breakfast/brunch. Once in a while I'd switch out the Cinnabons for monkey bread. A couple of years ago, I discovered a recipe for overnight cranberry orange rolls, so I've done them the last several years. They're basically like cinnamon rolls, but with a fresh cranberry-and-orange filling that gets gooey and yummy in the oven but isn't nearly as sweet as cinnamon rolls. I have the ingredients for them this year, but not sure if I'll have time to make them and might make monkey bread instead. DS has already asked for omelettes for 2nd breakfast, and that will work out great because we all got our signals crossed on grocery runs and ended up with about 4 dozen eggs.

It's just me. I make the dough in a can cinnamon rolls and a cup (or two ) of Hot Tea.
I usually only eat one, because I have to save room for when I attend dinner later in the day.

I took the easy way out and grabbed the apple and cheese danish from Costco. I figure if we want to make eggs to go with it, that's fine too.

Before I met my partner The Breakfast King, I would just let the kids eat candy out of their stocking until we went to my parents' house and then let them snack over there. I think he's making some type of sausage-egg-cheese breakfast casserole this year. Maybe a recipe from Jimmy Dean?

My family does not like to eat when they first get up, but I need to eat something with a medication I take. So I sip hot coffe and nibble on a few cookies that were baked the night before for Santa with premade cookie dough I get from our milk delivery company.

We used to have waffles and bacon and raspberries and whipped cream. But I have moved that labour intensive meal to Boxing Day (the 26th). Now we have cinnamon rolls which are baked the night before. Occassionally a baked french toast dish that sits in the fridge over night and then cooks while we are opening gifts. (bread, eggs, milk--sometimes egg nog--ham, cheese). Something like THIS Dice up your bacon, put it on the waffle iron, pour in batter. Bacon waffles, yum!

I will throw together a sausage/egg casserole on Christmas Eve and pop it in the oven while we open gifts. Anyone who can’t wait for the casserole can nibble on cookies until it is ready.
