Anyone else taking down Christmas today?
I am. And it is making me feel good. I just wasn't feeling it this year. There have been a few other years...all the ones ds was in patient at Children's in the PICU. One year Chrustmas came down that night. He was dc'ed in the late afternoon, he opened his gifts, and we out the stuff away.

Trash day is Thursday, so the tree will be down by then. We usually take the outside lights down by Jan 1st, but the weather is iffy this year, rain off and on through the weekend, so I don’t know when the lights will come down.

I don’t take anything down until Epiphany. Then, I might not get around to it right away. The tree is pretty, I like looking at it.

As it is only the second day of Christmas, no. The decorations will stay up until 12th Night. But, then, I don't get them up until around the 20th.

Yes -- the tree is down - everything, except some dishes and some linen, is packed away. My sister wants everything down promptly -- I'd leave everything up until New Years Day.

Maybe next weekend we have family Christmas Wednesday so it needs to stay up until then. I haven’t felt ut this year either. Next year I may just give in to the Scrooge. Still decorate but not worry about as much.

I've always left everything up until at least Epiphany. Back when we still had a real tree I'd ditch that thing immediately if it was shedding, and keep all the inside and outside stuff up till Epiphany. But when we got our lovely wonderful fantastic beautiful easy-to-set-up LOVELY artificial tree I might keep that up all January. And the outside lights stay up until I decide to take them down because I love them in the cold dark winters. I'll probably take down most of the indoor decorations after the 6th because I want my piano back (it's full of Christmas gnomes at the moment, lol) and my photos back on the mantel. But we will see..

It's beautiful and it will all stay up until at least the middle of January on the inside. The outside stuff comes down after the New Year.

My only decorations are two small trees and a few decorations above an entertainment center. Not down, but not in the way. If I'm ambitious it might happen before back to school time.
I'm relieved Christmas is over with. I never did the Epiphany thing even when I was religious. Christmas is Dec. 25th, that's all.

We have had only part of the family here for actual Christmas - two sons, one daughter in law, and two grandsons. The other two sons, two daughters in law, and granddaughter will be coming in Wednesday and Thursday. So our big “family Christmas” will happen Friday. I can’t possibly undecorate until after the new year as a result. We’re still in full on holiday mode here!

Nope. We leave it up until New Year. Should come down shortly thereafter. I hate the process of decorating, so dh does it all. I do love the coziness of it all, especially once the holiday is over and we can relax and just enjoy.

I always leave everything up a long time- I love looking at it. Same. When we cut down a live tree, we would care for it into February to see if it would grow. There were many years the tree was up well into March because it was still healthy and putting on new growth. When I went to work full-time, I didn’t have the ability to look after a live tree. Still, the trees will likely be up into February because I will be the one to dismantle everything and put it all in storage.

The tree usually comes down the weekend after epiphany. Same with any Santa decs, etc. Everything else stays up all winter since it's all snowmen.

I always leave everything up a long time- I love looking at it. Me too. It will all be up until at least "Ukrainian New Years" which is January 14th. It is so dark up here this time of year that the tinsel and lights really help lift the mood.

Nope. We always like to enjoy ours until after the New Year.
DH started a renovation project on a whim since he has three weeks off work, so I’m not sure when it will happen this year.

We have three levels in our home, I got the top level done today (not a lot of Christmas, but lots of Christmas supplies). Tomorrow I'll start on the main level.

I usually wait until January 1st, but I'm planning on taking the tree down on Friday, and putting it away. The stockings are already down. Those are all of the decorations I put up this year.
I really haven't felt the magic this year and am just tired. I'll be glad to have it tidied up, honestly.

I always put everything out on Thanksgiving night.
I always put Christmas away, on Christmas night. By Christmas night, I am ready for everything to put away and get back to normal.

Nah, the lights are making me happy. I am leaving mine up until mid-January because we will be gone for a week in early January. Maybe our daughter will take it all down while she's house sitting. I can dream!

We usually wait until January 1 but we’ll be travelling this week and I didn’t want to come home to face it. So it all came down today.

I’ve had years where I want it all down asap. And over the years I’ve turned into a decorating grinch because I was the one doing most of the work. This year I didn’t do a thing so I can’t really start taking it down. I’ll probably do it the weekend after next.

We would normally leave things up until Jan 6th (Epiphany) but as we’re travelling this year - left home on Dec 7th - we didn’t really decorate much to start with. What we do will be packed away when we get home on Jan 9.
