I am really tired of fireworks! Three weeks of them already and tonight is super crazy loud and close. I went outside a few minutes ago to see where they were and I heard pieces falling thru my trees in my front yard. It appears to be three streets over from mine.

We are not supposed to have bottle rockets, but every night, they are going off. My doxie is going crazy. He can hear the booms. Our dog is in the house, bur we have the windows open. Other dogs in the neighborhood, that we normally do not hear bark, are going off. Between the fireworks and dogs, I will be glad to have this holiday over. Gosh, I sound so grumpy.

These are more than bottle rockets. There's some serious fire power here. They are shooting above the tree line enough that I can see them three streets away.

Add me to the grumpy list! Between the fireworks, all the people in town for the carnival zooming their cars around, the neighbors next to us having a very loud party and oh yeah, the street dance that will be going until midnight, it is gonna be a bad night for sleeping around here. And I have to go to work tomorrow!

If it would end tomorrow would be great but it will be at least another week around here before they finally stop. People go buy them on clearance after the 4th and keep shooting them off.

So not cool! When we lived in Central Ca, it seemed like every weekend someone was celebrating something. Fireworks in December are just wrong!
Does your town set off a fireworks at all? Ours does and we live close enough to where they are set off that it rattles our windows. I just hope my 2 and 4 year old sons are able to sleep through them going off!!!

Normally our town does have a lake fest celebration with huge fireworks. But it was cancelled this year due to Fruit of the Loom closing down in our town and over 600 people losing their jobs.

Thank goodness for our Monsoon storm that just rolled in, a lot firework shows were cancelled. 40-50mph hr winds. Although the dogs don't like the storms any more than the fireworks.

I fireworks. I live in a small town. I've heard maybe 10 fireworks total so far this season, so I'm not yet annoyed, but I totally understand if you have been hearing them for a week already.

Fireworks have been going off full force for over three hours tonight. Some of them so loud/close I thought my house had exploded. I have jumped several times cause I was surprised by how loud they are.
I love fireworks but I'm so DONE! I'm guessing there's been at least $4000-5000 worth of fireworks shot off within earshot, all private people, no public events. Very small town that is losing our biggest factory and over 600 jobs. You would think people would be worried about the cost.

There's not supposed to be anything that 'shoots' or makes any noise. sprinklers and smoke fountains ONLY. Yet all I hear is boom, bang, boom, bang, pop pop pop pop. with no break. it's $170 fine if the cops get called, but they're too busy to get everyone. so ready for the weekend to be over.

I haven't really heard much yet. The towns big fireworks should start in about 30-45mins and then after that we hear loud bangs until around 1am.
My kids are asleep and their sound machines are up loud so I hope they stay asleep though it all!!!

It's crazy here- all the neighboring towns don't allow them but ours does as of a few years ago so people have just gone bananas and will for weeks. I read something recently about how difficult it can be for those with PTSD- we live in a military town and I hope our soldiers and veterans aren't suffering because of it.

My dog, who is highly offended when the neighbors so much as roll their garbage cans down the driveway, has been scolding the neighbor kids from the dining room window for an hour. Unfortunately they can't hear him...but I can. Hopefully all of them will stop soon.

I used to enjoy thunderstorms and fireworks. Not any more.
Since rescuing my little dog 7 years ago - the noise scares her to death ! She tries to jump in my mouth !!
I tried to give her Benadryl in ice cream and in chesse. She wouldn't eat either of it. I think I may have to take some.

It starts here in May and should calm down in a week or two. At times my house shakes. Yes, I am so ready for this to be done.

Fireworks are illegal here as well as in all the neighboring towns. Not sure how far you'd have to drive to even buy some. I haven't heard any at all this year. Thank goodness

Fireworks are illegal in my town but we are of course listening to a bunch of them I'm hoping they outlaw them in my county soon so it will lessen them over time. But of course the laws are for everyone else, not the people doing what they want. All three of our animals are uptight right now

fireworks are illegal here but it seems to be just an empty law because my ears have been ringing for over 4 hours and I know they will be going on for days. Enough already, I'm over it!

You'd never know all fireworks are illegal in our area from the displays we've been seeing all week. Our city brought back the big show for the first time in years and we were so excited to go to downtown and see them. The kids were so young the last time there was a city sponsored display they don't remember them. People were setting off huge ones all around us, and lots of kids in the crowd were thinking the big ones going off were part of the city ones. Nope... just a lot of fancy illegal ones. Then all the way home after the show we were treated to a several light and noise shows. Even now at 11:30 pm BOOM BOOM BOOM! At least this hasn't been going on for weeks... maybe five days in our area. They're late this year!

It sounds like a war zone here, too, and it is totally freaking me out! We are in a drought and I am so afraid that an ember from someone's illegal fireworks is going to land on my roof. After all of the fires we've had in California already, I can't believe they didn't ban them this year. And my dogs are freaking out, too. I've turned up the television, hoping to drown out the sound. I can't wait until it's over.

Fireworks were steady here until about 1:15am. I was ready to get in my car and find the houses and start calling the cops. Giant party pooper that I am. So now I'm up for a busy day of deep cleaning my house and I've had 4 hours of sleep. DH and DD better just do their tasks with a good attitude today or I'm going to have a ginger snap on them.

Ugh, here too. We just moved to a new state and a new neighborhood, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I did expect some based on how many stands had popped up. There were a few every night since Tuesday, but last night was ridiculous.
I felt really bad too because BIL is here visiting and he has PTSD from Iraq (lost an eye in a roadside bomb). Fireworks are a pretty bad trigger for him. He seemed to be handling it pretty well, and we watched TV with it turned up loud, but I was irritated. One was so close it shook the roof. We live in a neighborhood that is way too close to be setting off fireworks.
It is one thing to do them out in the boonies but this really irritated me. I think it is really disrespectful and dangerous to do them in a neighborhood. I wonder if people would think twice if they knew the impact it can have on vets with PTSD. Or saw the damage they can cause to homes, pets, and people.
I bet tonight will be another noisy night but hopefully it dies down after that. It is big time illegal here but the police can't really do much about it, hard to see where they are coming from and too many idiots to get to them all.
