Were you guys served this thru school or did your mum's make it for you? That sounds like a perfect lunch to me. I like eggs, From my head down to my legs, I like eggs. Just no uncooked white. Boiled egg and soldiers? A universal childhood food back in the day and certainly I would have been given for tea many time. I'm not sure if it's so commonly done now though The soft boiled egg on crusty bread at school. Were the eggs still warm? That sounds like a lot of eggs to prepare everyday. I love eggs and soldiers! I also like cinnamon soldiers and hot chocolate.

I'm sorry, I'm wasn't clear I'm talking about egg with soldiers - they weren't something I had at school, they were at home and were in the homes of many kids growing up but no, not at school. As you say, it would have been too hard getting that many eggs just right for that many kids Or were you referring to egg with mayo? That's just how I do an egg sandwich now - hard boiled then mashed up with some mayo

So, your mum was cooking up soft boiled eggs for you on the regular?! I'm so jealous.

Smothered in hollandaise, sitting on top of peameal bacon.

Weirdly enough, I enjoy very hard scrambled eggs cold!

I chose over-easy or an omelet, but I do like scrambled, too. And my DH, who is vegan, makes me an egg every morning, despite the fact that I could certainly do it myself, just because he likes making breakfast for us, so for that one reason, I kind of feel warm & fuzzy about my morning eggs, of all things, LOL!

Any which way! Hard boiled for when I’m on the run and can eat them in the car. Scrambled when not feeling so good or so hungry. Sunny side up with a full breakfast. Omelet 😀. In my carbonara. In my Cesar salad dressing.oh and French Toast. Yum!
