For the first time in forever, I'm ready. Due to our kids' wonky work schedules, the only day we can all be together is today, so we are heading to my parents' this afternoon. The kids are all adults and we drew names this year, which has been a hit! I really noticed it when I had 8 presents to wrap instead of 30+. Kids who can make it are coming up for Christmas day. We are having a grazing/charcuterie situation and that needs to happen is assembly.
I think I'm ready.

I'm ready-ish. I finished buying stocking stuffers yesterday and they will arrive from Amazon tomorrow. I still need to grocery shop for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and I'll probably place a pick up order from Publix early tomorrow morning. I have 6-7 more presents to wrap, and I'll knock those out tonight. Sunday morning, I make cookies and the french toast casserole that will go into the oven Christmas morning for breakfast.
Looking at my list, I still have a lot to do! I have my lists and I know exactly when I'm doing what, including driving an hour north Christmas Eve to cook Christmas Eve dinner for my husband's fire station (he is on shift). I will finally get to relax and enjoy my vacation on the 26th!

4 presents left to wrap, one batch of pizzelle cookies to make, and one batch of cake pops to make. I’m feeling ok!

I just need to wrap everything ... I only buy for four people so it's not a huge amount but it will take time ... I actually do gift bags and tissue so that is faster! I'll be doing it all tomorrow ... I'm a procrastinator.

Basically done. I have done the majority of the grocery shopping - we just need to pick up the turkey and maybe some more meat from the butcher tomorrow morning. Shops shut here tomorrow evening until Wednesday morning, so we need to be well stocked. I've bought and wrapped all the presents I'm responsible for, but I think DH has one more thing to pick up.

I have everything wrapped except for 3 things, 2 of which will arrive by Sunday. The ham is in the fridge. I wasn't able to bake my cookies for trays this year, which was quite disappointing. Nor was I able to make a dessert. Dessert will be up in the air. One of my sons might have to pick up a cake from the bakery he worked at in high school. It's not ideal, but no one will care. We're all adults and it's just about being together.

I am about a 6. I have a whole bunch that I can't do just yet (wrapping, finish cleaning, and picking up desserts) ) so I am kinda in a holding pattern til tomorrow.
My to do list is:
-wrap last 3-4 presents that I am waiting on (probably wont do til tomorrow) -make sausage balls -make another batch of sausage English muffins -pick up desserts tomorrow -clean the main parts of the house (the other parts are done already)
I am stuck at home, waiting for a package to arrive that has to be signed for so I am going to go ahead and make the sausage balls.

I'm readyish. I'm ready for immediate family gifts & stockings. I'm not quite ready to leave town tomorrow morning for the usual family tour. I need to gather food, do laundry & pack, and make sure we're prepared to run into snow that's now popped into the forecast for Monday...

Other than deciding what to have for Christmas dinner and making a grocery run if needed I am done! It's just the 3 of us and we aren't wanting anything too big, heavy or fussy. Hoping to find inspiration soon.

I have done nothing. The only sign of Christmas here is the display of Christmas cards from friends like you folks and family.
I really feel next year I will have a much better handle on my life.

I am ready! Just need to pick up the meat tomorrow. We will have dinner for various groups tomorrow, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. DH flew out yesterday to drive my parents back here. They should arrive in the next couple of hours. I was actually trying to find something to do last night so I started a Christmas puzzle.

Nothing wrapped, no trees up, need grocery list and shop. But the POD is empty (the house is an unpacked mess), and the paint on the fireplace/hearth is drying. My Covid seems to be letting up today. Meanwhile my mom and sister can’t wait for me to hostess Christmas Eve! 🙄 my dad was vague on if he’s coming then or earlier! WTF?
First Christmas with oldest away, he’s stationed in HI). It’s all good.
Sigh
Chickens are still living in the garage cuz there’s 🦉🦉roosted in a tree out back and a family of 5! 🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝 wandering through the yard. New coop needs to be Fort Knox!
Ex had a car wreck into his truck at a stoplight, which can’t even get a body estimate until Jan…meanwhile the car oldest left behind for his college sister to start driving blew a head gasket and needs a new engine. 🤑
Merry Christmas falalalalala 🙄🤪🎄
Sure hope it ❄️ tomorrow!
Oh and I’d tell mom and sis to pack sand but I want to have a nice Christmas for my 5 yo niece. Sister’s house is empty/torn up for renovations while her belongings arrive from overseas in Feb and Mom’s tiny apartment is getting packed up for her move in Jan. And Dad is a hoarder with two uninhabitable for guests dwellings. It’s me or no one.

Amazon SAYS they will deliver the last 2 gifts on Sunday, the 24th!! Otherwise, all is done. The son and wife who were coming on the 24th called this morning to say she has the flu so they won't come. For the 2 of us, all gifts are ready, smoked turkey has been purchased and is in the refrigerator. I made large amount of cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving and the portion that was frozen for Christmas is thawing in the 2nd refrigerator. DH will bake a mince pie on Saturday. So, I would say we are 99% ready for the big day.

Oh my, still lots to do but everything has been bought. DH is home so I will get him started on wrapping the presents . He does an excellent job. In the morning 4 of my grand daughters are coming over to bake cookies for Santa. Their ages are 8,6, 3 and an almost 3 year old . I want to have all the ingredients measured and in their own dish to make things easier. Will order pizza to eat while the cookies are baking . We are only doing 2 different cookies. I hope it turns out. We are getting together Christmas Eve with my kids, their partners and 6 grand children the youngest being 1 month old
christmas day will be just my husband and me so we are going to have lobster and shrimp.
Thankfully I am night hawk and usually up till 2 am, so I am hoping getting most things completed before bed.
Tonight’s dinner will be something simple

We're ready~ All presents are wrapped. I did the grocery shopping today. The tamales have been made. We just need to defrost and steam them on Christmas Eve. The only thing we need to do is make the side dishes and dessert, and we want to do that Christmas Eve.

Ready except for one stocking stuffer ordered from Amazon that should have been here on the 20th. Amazon says shipped and sorry for the delay and if not here by the 24th can request a refund the next day. Not too bad in the grand scheme of this thing called Christmas!

ready-ish - will do the weekly grocery shop hopefully this afternoon but if not, over the weekend. I still need to wrap DH's presents and bake Christmas pies but otherwise I'm in good shape - less because I'm on top of stuff and more because I'm simply NOT doing everything I've always done.

I’m on target for me which means I’ll be wrapping Christmas Eve and filling stockings. I have two more batches of fudge to make and maybe cookies or cheesecake. I’m still decorating because that’s how I roll.

I'm ready.
Went to the grocery store this morning for the last time - hopefully we don't need anything else.
DS has to work Christmas Day so we are doing all our celebrating on the 24th.

We are gifting the kids cash this year, so I still have to go get that….but pretty much done.
DH and I are headed out tonight to get dog things and a few last minute things for stockings (scratch tickets) and to have our annual “kill the Christmas list” dinner. It’s our “get all the rest of the crap on the list” night dinner date!
