I actually like to do ironing now that I have a Rowenta iron with the big steam tank. I don't iron a ton but I do iron some shirts, etc. When I was married to my first husband, he wore cotton dress shirts. I HATED ironing them.If I had the Rowenta I might have actually enjoyed ironing. I don't care one way or another about the word adulting. A big "to do" about a word. Twisted panties on both sides. LOL

Ironing. I love to iron. I iron everything!
Cooking. I love to cook as well. It is very calming to me after I get home from a stressful job.

I like hanging laundry on the outside line. I know this particular thing horrifies many Peas but it’s the norm in Australia most of the year. I’ve done about 8 loads in the last few days and they dried in about an hour each. No there’s no dust, pollen, bird droppings or any other extras LOL, just lovely clean, line dried clothes, towels, sheets I actually miss it. I grew up hanging laundry outside, even in winter. Now the place I live doesn't even allow an outdoor clothesline.

pinklady gar ~~ What in my life affects your life? I didn't receive much, if any support when I had major health issues and serious surgery. I live with a lot of physical pain, which I have explained in some threads, mainly the dinner thread. Does anyone comment on that? No, no comments on that. Only comments on when I say something outrageous. Yes, I was having a really bad day, a few horrific days. This is a message board. Do you have so much time on your hands that you stalk a message board and point out every failing of everyone? A new year, a fresh start. I don't need to explain myself to you as you literally have no knowledge of my real, truthful life. Apologise for being human? I am human after all. Whoa whoa....hang on a minute... I didn't 'stalk' you! I, like many others, just read your comments as you'd written them and then I read pinklady's follow up. I don't read the dinner thread so I have no idea of the issues you feel exist there. No one expects you to apologise for 'being human' clearly, just perhaps your words when you say - as you called it - something outrageous. But regardless of that, I am truly sorry about the pain you live with daily and the terrible days you've been having.

I have called you out plenty for the anti-US pro-Canada stance when I feel it's rude and unwarranted, but I do believe we have gotten past that. At least it seems that way. I did not know you were going through some things as I have never seen you post about any of that. Just wanted you to know I hope you feel better soon and here's to better days ahead. Hey I will be happy to send you something you like from the US that we have that you can't easily get. But I know it's not going to be butter 😁❤️🥰

ScrapbookMyLife i had no idea you could buy those loaves... outback is not anywhere near me.... but when i go to that area... it is something i will have to remember... thanks!! I get them at the take out counter. I request them to be "unheated" when purchasing them. If you get them heated, then freeze them and re-heat they tend to get hard on the edges.

They also ban outdoor sheds, which I would love to have for gardening/lawn tools.

I'm not a fan of hanging laundry outside (guess I live to close to suburban area) but in any case we are not allowed clothes lines either, even fenced. I would assume a regular clothesline would be seen anyways with a fence.

Our fences are usually 6 feet high and I’ve never seen anyone’s lines in any neighbourhood I’ve lived. Not aiming this at you but it blows my mind that in a country where people defend their right to free speech, carry guns etc accept that they can’t choose to dry their clothes outside in their own backyards!

The issue for many that are not allowed to hang laundry outside is that they live in a HOA neighborhood (homeowner's association). There are advantages to living with HOAs but then you do give up other things. It just depends on how your HOA is set up. We live in a neighborhood with an HOA but it's pretty loose as to what is/isn't allowed. I could have a clothes line if I wanted, but living just a few blocks from a major freeway doesn't make that advisable!
