He recently had treatment for an enlarged prostate which was benign, but something else of concern was discovered. BBC

Yikes. I hope they caught it early and it's easily treated. From what is being reported on the BBC right now, it does seem that it has been caught early. He will be undergoing treatment but has been advised to avoid public-facing duties, but should he able to perform office duties.

Hope one course of treatment is all that is needed.
Given how long his parents and grandmother lived it's a surprise to hear of a royal with such a serious diagnosis.

My NBC station broke into broadcast programming and announced this. I pray he will be okay!
I clicked on the OP's link and there's an update saying Harry will be going to the UK in the next few days... I hope this doesn't mean things are more serious than we're being lead to believe?

Just wondering who would be the next line for the throne after Charles?

Just wondering who would be the next line for the throne after Charles? Prince William, then Prince George

i hope he focuses on his health and treatment and not rushing back to royal duties. we have william, kate and the others for that. We don't have Catherine right now as she's recovering from her surgery, but we have Camilla, Prince Edward (Duke of Edinburgh), William, Princess Anne.

I hope it is something of relatively minor consequence and that he can be treated and fully recovered soon. And as Rhondito mentions, I hope that Harry's visit just means concern and love for his parent and not anything more serious.

I heard them talking about the meds he would be receiving at home. Unfortunately, they may cause nausea and diarrhea, which of course would be difficult in public!! Queen Camilla will be his designee along with William. There are other royals who would also be available as needed for Royal appearances.

Speculation from an oncologist on the BBC news is that bladder cancer is a likelihood- the location means it could have been spotted during his recent prostate treatment.

Speculation from an oncologist on the BBC news is that bladder cancer is a likelihood That was my first though because that's exactly what happened with my father, he went in for prostate surgery and it's routine to have a look in the bladder before they start, and that's when they spotted his bladder tumor, prior to that they thought all his symptoms were due to his prostate issues. Even though they initially said the cancer was localised to the bladder and hadn't spread...it had. 6 months later they found tumors in his lungs and 8 months after that he died.

I don’t think so but no worries pjaye 😊 I checked the first page and didn't see it...must have had a 'boy look'. The traitor is rushing over, he should stay home, I'm sure he'll just make everyone uncomfortable, he's proven he can't be trusted. Instead of flying over quietly, he's already released a statement about it.

He is… I’m as disappointed in him as anyone but if this is a reason for some reconciliation, that's a good thing in my book.

He is… I’m as disappointed in him as anyone but if this is a reason for some reconciliation, that's a good thing in my book. I think Charles will always have the door open for Harry - it's hard to cut off your child even if he's a shitty human. But they can't trust him, and I hope William is done after all he's said about his wife and children. A bulk order of valium and sage sticks has been put in for Buckingham Palace!
