If you were doing a home inventory.....what do you have the most of in your home? Shoes? Clothes? Books? Camping gear? Yarn? Scrapbooking supplies? Mugs? Socks? Sporting goods? Pans? Towels? Tools?, Etc....
For me it's.....scrapbook supplies.

Not counting the kids' books there are about 300 unread books, and probably 100 read ones (including cookbooks) that I call mine. They fit on four bookcases.
My scrapbook stuff probably takes up more physical space though... and I definitely have more than 400 scrapbook items.
We also have a wall of board games, which belong to the everyone, I counted at the end of December and the number was over 100. I can't find my list with the exact number on it...

We have not one but two guestroom/libraries - one for fiction and one for non-fiction (and DD has books in her room also)...I'm working on reading and passing along. But DH has a big collection also and his rarely leave. My scrapbook stuff shares a room with my computer desk/genealogy, sewing, photos/family memorabilia, and finished albums - there are probably more individual items than I have books but they definitely take up less space even when you consider the albums.

Definitely craft supplies (paper crafts, sewing/quilting, needlework). I have way too many books, too, but I’ve been working on thinning them out.

Are we going by number of items, volume (how much room it takes to store), or amount of money spent? Asking for a friend. 😂
I have a few collections of things that I have acquired through the years, but the only ones where I have more than everyone else I know is nail polish and cast iron cookware.

I want to say books, but that may be only because they are big and visible. I have a lot of art supplies, but they are smaller and put away in drawers so you don't see them.

Probably clothes for me. Random pieces of wood in the garage for Dh which you never know, he might need…apparently 🤷🏼♀️

Asking for a friend. 😂I have a few collections of things that I have acquired through the years, but the only ones where I have more than everyone else I know is nail polish and cast iron cookware. Exactly what I was wondering! I have an entire room dedicating to crafting, so probably craft supplies. But, it’s not stuffed at all, lots of white space and breathing room. I probably have the equivalent of 12’ in length of 7’ tall shelves a sewing cabinet and 2 tall Iris drawer sets in the room itself, but my closet has 5’ shelves from ceiling to floor packed full very efficiently. Together we have more Christmas decorations than anyone I’ve ever known, and it’s always been just the 2 of us. That and photographs, but I imagine that’s pretty typical. I believe we are down to around 50 books and are actively trying to reduce even further, so definitely not that. That’s reference books, cooking books (not recipe books), DH’s triathlons type books, yearbooks, and a few nice ones we’ve kept in the living room including the GOT set. Most of ours are ebooks these days. Now I’m curious so I’ll have to count. Oh, forgot my Harry Potter so maybe closer to 60. DH has a lot of workout gear and triathlon supplies. A huge Smith machine, weight bench, full swim trainer, treadmill, bike and TRX set up along with the typical smaller items. And then 4’ wide shelves his height full of his triathlon gear.

Actual number of items...audiobooks. I have hundreds , but they are all on a hard drive, so take up no room. Physical items, bottles of perfume. I'm somewhere close to 100 bottles and probably that number again in samples. I'm going to have my favourites sprayed at my funeral...if I can't tale them with me, then I want to smell good until the very last moment!

For me personally probably general craft supplies (which I would lump sewing, digital crafts, paper crafts, scrapbooking, rubber stamps all together) followed closely by baking supplies (assorted pans, utensils, small appliances, food coloring, flavorings, etc.).
For DH it would be tools and big boy toys (boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, wave runners and trailers, trailers and more trailers).
For DD it would probably be books and clothes.

When I started the thread, I was thinking "number of items". I started the thread, based on the "how many sneakers thread". I don't have many shoes, then I thought what do I have the most of??

Sunscreen. Blushers-I am pale and need blush. Paper towels-don’t ask me why. 🤷♀️ Lipsticks-always looking for the perfect shade. Binder clips-clearly, I have a problem. I have-I thought-a lot of shoes, but after reading the sneaker thread, maybe not. Fleece-love it in the winter. Oh-and books.

Scrapbooking stuff, makeup/skin/hair products, clothes. I guess I do also have a lot of books compared to many people I see.

Scrapbook supplies and beauty products. I used to have a lot more clothes when I was younger and my weight was stable but nowadays clothes shopping is not fun!

Number of items would be books, but they're mostly on the Kindle so they don't take up much space. I usually only buy reference books in hard copy.
Physical would be clothes and shoes, followed by fabric. I also have an above-average number of sewing machines.
