this year. Or at least try to. Any one else going to try after looking at Polly video?
It might be fun if there are a few of us doing it to be able to check in and get ideas (I am woefully inadequate at all things video on my phone for example...)

Any one else going to try after looking at Polly video? I am planning on trying it out. I shot a video clip of ds and dd at midnight with sparklers thinking it would be a great start to my self-imposed "assignment." My thought is that I'm more likely to complete this than I am a Project Life/Year in Review scrapbook.
One concern is that a lot of the app reviews suggested the recent update created many problems. Hopefully the glitches will be fixed soon.
Have fun with your project!

I downloaded the app from 1 second everyday. I hope to do it and get my family to, as well. Even though dh and I are together every day (and work in the same building, etc), I think we will have some different views to our days.

I am going to give it a shot. I just finished my 2014 year edit video… 2014 Year Edit…and I had been wanting to do something similar yet different for 2015. If I can keep it up, I think the one second per day format might be a fun change. I got a clip at midnight last night so right now I am one for one. Woot! I don't think I'm going to use an app though, since I want to mix in footage from my GoPro and DSLR too. I am just using iMovie.

I'm in. I loved Polly's video and love the concept.
I made a list last night <<I love my lists>> of upcoming January events that I wanted make sure I recorded. I also made a list of ideas I want to record on non-event/typically ordinary days.
Today I just wanted a group shot of my family, but here it is, late afternoon and not all the members of my family have been home at the same time and oldest Ds is taking off for the night. Sigh, I will just do something quick with the kids. Not a good start :-(

I'm going to try! I downloaded the app & have been playing around with it. Does anyone else find it to be kind of tricky & not very user friendly? Plus, dang, a second is sooo short!

Yes I am planning on doing it too. So far so good - it's day 2 of the year and I have 2 videos already - yay me!! I downloaded the app yesterday.
I think it's a great idea to have a thread to check in and see how we're all going.
I am not going to be anal about it though - there might be some days where I don't do a video and other days where I do 2 - I'm not keen on putting in shots of "Oooops I forgot" in the middle of the video, I personally think it ruins it. It's not like anyone is going to be watching it and marking off 365 days to make sure I didn't miss one!!

I have done Project 365 a couple of times and it honestly doesn't matter if you have two pictures one day and none the next. Nobody will ever know. Makes it a lot easier to manage, too.

I was seriously considering it. I didn't get to see the video (because I'm not on fb) but I did check out the app. The reviews have me wondering about the app though. I haven't bought it yet for that reason. So any reviews would be good.

Well...since I've only done one day, it all seems confusing. But I think I uploaded or saved or whatever it does for my first day's video. I've tried looking around for a message board or FB group that is doing this to ask questions, but haven't found anything yet.

What app are you planning to use? I don't use any app. I just use Windows Movie Maker because it was free with my computer. I also like that some of my one seconds were actually 4 seconds speeded up.
I love your video @tallgirl.

It's not like anyone is going to be watching it and marking off 365 days to make sure I didn't miss one!! My Aunty told me that when I forgot was her favourite part of my movie because it's part of my scatty personality to forget and then part of my honest personality to put in that I forgot.
I love that this is like scrapbooking and it's what you want it to be. Some people online don't like background music but I do. Some don't like when people film vertically on their phones because it doesn't look right to them. I personally have 8 really strong contenders for New Years Day. Not sure which one I'll pick. So glad to not be struggling on alone with this in 2015.

polz I can see why it would be your Aunty's favorite part if it matches your scatty personality LOL! But for me personally, I wouldn't like it in my own video. I agree with you completely, everyone can choose their own way of doing it, whatever works best for them. I haven't decided yet whether to do background music or not. I like it both with and without music. I'm so glad you posted yours the other day, I'm really looking forward to doing it. I'm trying to talk my DD into doing it too but she's not that keen.

Too funny - that is totally not the right emoticon! That's what I get for choosing it through my keyboard rather than on the site I guess.

So you didn't use the 1SED app, Polly? I bow down to you if you put that video together by yourself! My one concern about the 1SED is being able to put music to it once it's finished since the app won't let you do it. I was hoping to export it and have my DH do that part for me.

Both of your movies are so great. After watching them both, I agree that a little longer than 1 second is better. I started with the app on my phone yesterday, but I know my phone will run out of storage soon, and the videos are not very clear. I'm gonna switch to movie maker and use my camera instead... so excited ... thank you for the inspiration

Did yall get your clip today? For those using the app ... does it matter which way you film - vertical vs horizontal? I thought I read in one of the FAQ's to do horizontal, but the app seems to default to vertical? (Which is easiest for me as that's my default direction to hold my phone to take a picture.)

I downloaded the app yesterday and I do not like it. It's not user friendly and a second is hard to shoot. I'm going to follow @tallgirl and use my gopro and dslr. The only problem is that I used the app for a video yesterday and they are short and choppy, not what I would want for my year in review. Maybe I'll fake my first day the next time we go out to eat and to the movies next week. Jennifer
