I thought it looked part Rhodesian ridgeback but i am not sure. Very cute though!!

Her mother is a full-blood Red Healer. The daddy is a mix of red healer/german shepherd, and who knows what else.

Oh right. I have never seen a red healer up here but they are pretty popular in other places aren't they? Every dog here is a labradoodle, golden doodle, standard poodle or a golden retriever.

I'm on the fence with this but I don't have kids so I don't k now if I have a good argument on that end- except that she needs to be responsible and make sure that the dog can go to a good home. Maybe yours short term- VERY SHORT, till she can find a new owner. I don't think she's an idiot, maybe just not thinking the long term care and maintenance for the dog. They do get to be big dogs. I am surprised that the College would be okay if it was gonna be a big dog. Not necessarily the breed but size. They do get big fast! PS He is CUTE!!
