Love the sage! I'm thinking it will look great with scarlet. One of my favorite Chatterbox lines was a sage and crimson set of papers and this combo makes me so happy.

They don't do anything for me. DD just began her Fiesta Ware so I was waiting for those new colors hoping to add to her collection.

I might want to get on this bandwagon. Those are all so pretty. I'd have to get rid of some dishes, though.

I was hoping for pastels, but green is my favorite color. I'll definitely get 2 sets of the sage. I'll have to see the slate in person.

I will be getting some of the slate but am not thrilled with the shade of sage that they have. Maybe it will look different in person.

I think of sage as being a lighter color than theirs. It looks much closer to military khaki green to me. I really do like it, I just can't picture it in my rainbow.
eta: I just noticed a Cinnabar piece in my cupboard. It is too bad they discontinued that shade, because it would go perfectly with both the new Slate and Sage.

Hmmm. Interesting. I do like the Slate better than Black. That must be why they discontinued Black.
The Sage is pretty. I don't know how well it would go with my current colors but it would be nice for a single color set. Much more masculine than most recent releases.

I like them both. I buy separates, so I'll probably buy something in each of the colors.

I like the slate a lot. My kitchen is various shades of gray and red. I have 19 sets of Fiesta in all the colors - 1 of each. We just do a hodgepodge of colors. If I strike it rich in the next few months (unlikely ) maybe I'll buy 4 sets of slate, red, and ivory each. Although then I'd have to buy matching serving pieces. Boy, I'd really need to strike it rich. Sigh...a girl can dream.

I think I like the slate but need to see it in person. I've slowly been adding gray to a lot of areas of my house so it will probably work. I really dislike the sage. It looks too 90s for me.

I love the slate! I think it will pair really nice with most of the fiesta colors. I do like the bright colors. I think I'll get a slate place setting, but not so sure about the sage. I think I need to see it in person.

I went to a home show today and they had a table with a few reps from the factory there. They had the table set up with sage, slate and yellow. I told the rep that I was hoping for lilac. She said "they (meaning the factory)went with those colors and did the pairing with yellow, but she and the other rep prefer it with the "poppy". It totally looked camo.....that was my first thought!
I am not a fan!! It wouldn't fit in with my collection.

I have been hoping for a raspberry color for years now. That would be a great color for next year. It would be so pretty with the sage and slate.

I'll have to get a set of the slate! But that sage color reminds me of avocado green from the 70's and I just can't handle that. Our home was covered in that color and I always hated it! The appliances, the carpet, the kitchen counter tops, the accessories throughout the house. Our couch was gold .... with large, avocado green flowers! Luckily the bathroom was not avocado, but instead powder blue. As in everything was powder blue. The bathtub, the toilet, the accessories. The counter top was white but it had powder blue marbling. My mom was evidently all about everything-matching-overkill when they built the house! Luckily, that has changed since then.

Squee! I'm not that enamored with the new colors, but if you're looking to add to your stock of the older colors, Macy's has a decent sale plus an extra 10% off. I finally pressed the buy button after drooling over the Fiestaware colors for years. I wanted to get only the stuff I knew we'd use, so I skipped the place settings and bought the 9" luncheon plates, the medium bowls and the java mugs. The colors I got are scarlet, poppy, sunflower, tangerine, peacock, turquoise, lemongrass and shamrock (I also like the bag of skittles look, LOL). So excited!

If you have a Kohl's charge card, you can enter "showers30" at checkout for 30% off. As with everything at Kohl's, they mark up the regular prices, but with the 30% off they are an excellent deal and they have a HUGE selection.

Oh bummer. I was hoping Slate would be a grey color. It is. Slate is dark grey. Sage is the other new color and it is a green.

The sage is darker than I expected it to be. I have to say I'm just not sure that food would look all that appetizing on either color.
