I like the slate. Sometimes I like to use more sophisticated plates, rather than my bright fiestaware so this might be a good option.
The sage I want to see in person. I don't like sage and slate together but each mixed with other colors might look good.

I think I'm going to pass on both colors. I have 12 place settings in all different colors but these two just look dull and not fun at all.

Love, love, love! I am so happy, finally a new green! I think the sage will be beautiful with the bright colors - think leaves with multicolor flowers. I can picture it with turquoise and cobalt for summer. It will also be pretty with paprika and marigold for fall place settings. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I really like the slate, too. Fiesta does such a great job of picking colors that will blend together. This one will probably work with blues, as well as older gray, for a more elegant placesetting. I've found a duller green/brown looks fantastic with oranges, golds, reds, turquoise, blue and brown. I'm not sure from the photo the exact color, but I bet it will work a lot better than people seem to think it will. Hopefully, it will give a balance and depth so the other colors will sing against it.

I went to a home show today and they had a table with a few reps from the factory there. They had the table set up with sage, slate and yellow. I told the rep that I was hoping for lilac. She said "they (meaning the factory)went with those colors and did the pairing with yellow, but she and the other rep prefer it with the "poppy". It totally looked camo.....that was my first thought! I am not a fan!! It wouldn't fit in with my collection. Sage, slate and yellow. Yeah, no. I don't know anyone who would jump on that combo for their kitchen.

Oh bummer. I was hoping Slate would be a grey color. It is. Slate is dark grey. Sage is the other new color and it is a green. Really? It looks purple on my screen . . .

I personally love white china. Just white. Having said that, I do love that slate color.

I'll have to get a set of the slate! But that sage color reminds me of avocado green from the 70's and I just can't handle that. This was my first thought too. The slate seems like it could be a good 'anchor' piece for some of the brighter colors, but take that for what it's worth from someone who owns a total of zero pieces of fiesta ware!

I think either of them could look really nice when paired with other colors.
They are not colors I would choose for myself, but I think they could look sharp in the right color schemes.

Did anyone see the post on Fiesta's Facebook page about people being nice to each other? I guess it's hard to disagree on the new colors without using cursewords and pejoratives. Oh, wait! We just did that here on this site! I love the new colors, and lots of other people don't, and no one called me a terrible name for disagreeing! I love this board.

While I think they are very pretty, I don't think I'll be buying them. Over the past month I have finally updated my Fiesta from the pastel pieces we got when we married 16.5 years ago to a bright rainbow I am envious. I would love to have some of the pastels--I love pastel yellow and rose.

I don't like either color, but I started buying Fiestaware during the Scarlet, Evergreen and Heather period. I stopped buying when they came out with Chocolate.

I would love to have some of the pastels--I love pastel yellow and rose. Any particular pieces you are looking for? I have dinner plates, salad plates, cereal/soup bowls that come with place settings, and stacking cereal bowls in both, and a gravy boat and small platter in rose. I put my pastels back to give to the boys if they ever move away from home, but if you'd like them, I would re-home them for 50% of retail. I also have plates and bowls in sea mist (the pastel green) and periwinkle. No pressure, as I'm fine with hanging on to them.

I like both of the new colors, but don't know how well they would work with what I already have. I think I'd be more likely to buy the slate color... but first, I am hoping to add some yellow dishes to my collection! I think they would be fun for spring/summer.

Elaine, if there are no bites on your offer I might be interested in just a couple of pieces so I could have some colors I don't have. A plate or bowl.. if the offer is still out there! I kinda like the new colors.. Slate more so... the sage green is something I am trying to get away from.. I went from the dusty blue and mauve years, to forest green years, to olive/sage is what I have now... but I would probably get something in it...

how do these look on your monitor? Hideous together. Why they didn't pair them with colors already out was a marketing failure, IMHO.

I don't like either....they would totally mellow out my colorful assortment and I can't have that.

Of those two, I only like the slate, however - My selections are always bright and cheery, so I will not be adding either of those to my daily collection.

I can see how the slate would make bright colors look even brighter. I still am not a fan though. I only have fiesta bakeware though, so I don't usually use more than one piece at a time.
