I am quirky enough, but I can't think of anything great right now. I'll just go with these:
As a child (5th and 6th grades), I dressed up in 1850's era clothing - complete with hoop skits - and gave tours of antebellum homes.
I'm double-jointed in my thumbs.
I used to work in then later manage a cigar store.
My favorite snack used to be a lemon - I would cut it in half and bite down to get the juice, and then I would eat the insides. I get strange looks when I do that now, so I sneak lemon slices when no one is looking.

My DH and I both have parents that were/are still married. Before my mom died, my parents were married 59 years and my in-laws are married 51 years.
Our wedding planner could not believe that we only had 4 parents - no step-parents. No more the norm apparently!

I have a natural blonde stripe in my brown hair. Also, my eyelashes are different colors. One is blonde, the other brown.

The quirkiest things about me are that most of my genes are recessive: I have blue eyes, I'm left handed, I have no ear lobes, I can't blow out (think candles, whistle or blow bubbles with bubble gum) I can't see in 3D, I can't curl my tongue (most people can), I have a widow's peak and a cowlick next to each other. My hair also turned white in my teens, and I only use one eye at a time - sometimes it has been humorous in my life when a doctor will call in an associate or resident to show them some aspect of me, like my alternating isotropia.
I only found out about the 3D thing in recent years, and I always wondered what was the big deal about 3D movies like 'Bug's life' at Disney. i din't see anything pop out at me! Ophamologist identified it after all these years!
I am also the oldest child of 2 oldest children and am the oldest grandchild on both sides.

I was stung by a stingray~it hurt like a bitch!
I sat next to Nick Vujicic on an airplane. He was born without arms and legs. He started the non-profit, Life Without Limbs and told me he is a motivational speaker for God. Very awesome, inspiring guy!

I was married in a cemetery. Sounds weird but the marriage has been a good one for 46 years now.

Technically I don't have a half birthday. My birthday is August 30 My birthday is also August 30th. Why do you say you don't have a half birthday? I never really thought about it. I googled it and found this half birthday calculator and it tells me my last half birthday was Feb. 28, 2014 and my next one is Feb. 28, 2015. Here is the calculator I used. Calculate Half Birthday
I guess the quirky thing for me is in 6th grade, I was the City Champion in Chinning. We used to have very competitive Field Days in elementary school. We first had to try out to compete in an event. Then, we competed against the kids from other classes to ultimately have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the grade. The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners from each school then competed against all of the other winners from all of the other schools in the city in the City Championship. I should have won in 5th grade too but I miscounted. I was counting to myself and I thought I dropped when I had done one chin more than the only girl that I thought could beat me. The judges said I had done one less so I guess I miscounted. I could have done 2 more but instead took 2nd. The year I won, the only girl that I thought could beat me had to chin before me. She slipped at about 16 or 17. I didn't drop until 34 because there was no way I was going to lose again. LOL

I fell off a Farris Wheel when I was 12 a little less than half way up and was rushed to ER. Didn't break anything. To this day my favorite ride is the Farris Wheel.

there are two that i can think of.....
I CAN.NOT.TOUCH.PEACHES!!!!! I cannot even THINK of touching peaches. i cannot even look at peaches in the grocery store.
BUT....i love peaches and if someone peels one for me i can eat it. but if it has one little piece of fuzz left on it, i will freak out.
the other one is....i have never cut the lawn in my life. my brothers always did it when i was young and my husband does it now. well, dh let me cut one swath of grass on his new riding lawnmower one time about 13 years ago but i cut it crooked and he stopped me and never let me back on.
it wasn't even that crooked. fussass!!!

Everyone in my family calls me when we have bad weather alerts in our area. For some reason I can usually sense if a storm is going to be a bad one. If I am worried about the weather, so is everyone else!
My DH and I are animal whisperers!! Not really, but we have all kinds of wild animals(racoons, squirrels, deer, groundhogs) that we hand feed. They come to our house everyday for their treats.

A spider crawled inside my ear when I was 18. I had no idea what was happening - I could just feel and hear something in there. I caused quite a scene and ended up in the ER to get it removed. The doctor flushed it out alive. It's a funny story now but it was awful when it was happening!

I will not eat anything blue that was not grown that way. Blueberries? Yes! Blue candy? No!
I have never in my life touched a piece of pet food or pet treats with my bare hands.

OK, I get it now. LOL I guess the calculator just gives the last day of February so maybe in 2016 when there is another leap year, it will give Feb. 29th. But, if this is the logic for a half birthday, then those born on Mar, May, Oct and Dec 31st also would not have a half birthday. For those born on the 31st of their month, only Jan and Jul have months with 31 days that were 6 months earlier...........I guess it is a good thing I don't care about half birthdays. LOL

I prefer dogs to people. I often "hide" to avoid chatting to someone when I'm out and about. I just did this at the grocery store the other day! In fairness, I had just come from the gym but as soon as I saw the person I knew, I headed down another aisle. Shameful

I haven't tried in years but I doubt I can do any. If I can do any, it would be 1 or 2, not 34 like I did when I won the City Championship. Of course, I have a lot more weight to pull up now not to mention I have a lot more years on me. LOL I am still fairly strong for a female and someone my age though. When I was going to a trainer, he used to tell me that he only had a couple of female clients that could lift as much as I could. So, maybe I could still eek out a chin or two. As a side note...........I always found pull ups to be harder than chin ups and I was never able to do nearly as many pull ups.

However, in my state, at the time I started driving, you could get your permit when you were 15 1/2. Since my half didn't exist, the state actually has a statue that says the next calendar day would be your half birthday (in my case, March 1).
