I had one for the first time today and it was wonderful. I wasn't sure I would like it because my feet are very ticklish, but it was so relaxing. I'm definitely going again!

No. I get seriously freaked out about people touching my feet. Getting my finger nails done is more than I can stand very often.

No. I have, twice, but I get freaked out by toenail fungus horror stories. I'm not a germaphobe in general, but I've just heard too many stories. I keep a pumice stone in the shower and keep my feet moisturized and my toenails are always painted. I change the polish about every two weeks or so.

No, hugely ticklish feet so I don't think I could sit through one.
Then I saw something on the bacteria in the foot baths used for pedicures....no matter how good they clean them they have crevices, etc. where bacteria can get trapped. There were horror stories about people with infections and such from them. Can't remember where I saw it but totally skeeved me out.

I get pedicures regularly, but I honestly don't enjoy it. I do like how my feet look after the pedicure.

The first time I had a pedicure, my Mom went with me . She gave me a gift certificate to go. I also thought I wouldn't want anyone to touch my feet. But I love them now! Mom and I still go together a couple of times a year and I go with my granddaughters too! (last month). My 15 yo and I both have ticklish feet, but it feels so good, and looks so pretty!

Hell yes! I love pedicures. My summer luxury - must have sandal-ready tootsies. I don't get them regularly in the winter.

I do my own. I've had them done in the past, and love the way my feet and toenails look, but the bacteria horror stories freak me out.

The idea of a stranger getting that...intimate...with my feet freaks me the hell out. So, no. I've never had a pedicure. It's the stuff of nightmares for me, lol.
L
ETA: I should add I do my own pedicures and manicures at home on a regular basis, so I'm good to go all the time. That's my 'me time' and I enjoy it much more than having someone else do it. Guess I may be weird.

Yes! Our salons are routinely surprise inspected by the board of health. And with my pedicure, I get a leg massage and hot towel steam. I love them!

All the time. And so does DH. In fact, he's usually the one that wants to go before I'm ready.
If money was no object, I'd have a fresh pedi every week.

Not really, maybe once every couple years for a special occasion. I do like how my feet look and feel after one but I just hate the whole process. Strangers I can't communicate with having their hands all over me.... it's just uncomfortable.

Yes, I do. I was totally a freak about someone else touching my feet too, but my sister came up on vacation a couple years ago and begged me to get one with her. I finally caved and now I love it! I have issues with ingrown nails and they can get them without hurting me. The only part that I don't like is when they use the scrubber on my in-step. It really tickles, I laugh out loud every single time and they know to hold my foot so they don't accidentally get kicked :/.

I have only once. It was a real high end one I got as a gift and they massaged my feet and legs for an hour. It was heaven but not something I can afford to do on a regular basis. I like to do my own nail upkeep and polishing too because I'm very anal and I think I do a better job than any I've seen from a salon.

No way, no how. I cannot stand anyone touching my feet. Super ticklish! I also have never had a manicure. I can't stand people filing my nails or their own nails anywhere near me. It's like nails on a blackboard to me, and I have got goosebumps even writing about it!
ETA: Apart from that, it would be a luxury that is not within my meagre budget.

I like them but am a little leary of infection etc. so I won't go for 2 days after shaving my legs to make sure no trouble from things. Even though the shop is clean, and I see them disinfect, I am cautious.
Would you try one of those fish pedicures? I think they are now illegal in the US. My sister and niece had them when they were in France last month and liked the experience. She said that when the fish nibble on your feet it feels like bubbles against your feet. I'd try the fish experience once just for the fun of it.

Yes I do. However my Aunt got me a full body massage from my chiropractors for my birthday. She is a medical masseuse and now I'm hooked! My budget won't allow for both on a regular basis so I guess I'll have to "let the toes go" a little so I can alternate. Of course the massage cost a lot more but Lordy be was it worth it.

I love them and hate them at the same time. I can paint my own toes but it takes me forever to do it. I cannot stand how they bend my toes back to my knee caps and use the scrubber thing. I have really smooth feet - no cracks or calluses but they still try to pumice the heck out of my feet and I cannot take it!
Love pretty polish and how quick it is!

I get a pedicure and gell manicure every two weeks, rain or shine. I don't get gaga over the way it feels, I just love the way my hands and feet look all the time.

Sometimes. Maybe 3-4 a year. I use a pumice in between and polish my own nails. It's not an expense I want to put in the regular budget so I go relatively infrequently.
I actually don't love it - I mostly go to keep my mom company; she goes because her arthritis won't let her reach her own feet to trim her nails. I think she has a much more valid reason to pay for pedis than I do.

I got my first one about 2 years ago or so. Right now I need one but I have briefly cut back on things like that. I do like it though, but I only get it done in summer, and I haven't been wearing any sandals because I need one

Nope.
And for the record, I don't want to see anyone else's feet, or toes, or toenails, either.

There are three things that keep me from getting a pedicure:
1. not in my budget 2. worry about the cleanliness of the salon 3. I don't have nice looking feet
I have had bunions since my early 20s and they cause all kinds of foot problems. But if the podiatrist had a nail salon associated with them, I would save up and go! I figure that they have seen worse than my feet. I did have a pedicure once and while I didn't enjoy it, I loved how my toes looked!
I do my own toenails every couple of weeks, all year. I can't stand seeing unpolished toes on myself.
