Ds is skinny and tall. He is 5'10 and weighs 100 lbs. I am going crazy trying to find him jeans that fit.
Amy suggestions?

Old Navy online. If they don't fit you can return to the store

I have a kid who was the same way. Still is at almost 20. It is hard to find really slender yet long enough pants and jeans.
Best luck we had was at places and companies that cater to young people. I want to say that the last pair we found was at pacsun maybe?

My son is the same size and I buy his jeans at American Eagle. If they don't have it in stock they will ship them to you.

Aeropostale has them (just did a search to confirm...it's been a while since I've shopped there) and Hollister had them last year (the last time I bought jeans for DS) and would assume they still have them.

My son is 6'3", about 130 pounds? He is all legs and needs a 28x34! I'm sure he's less than 28, but they don't make pants that size.
I had the same issues with 28x32. They are a bit easier to find. With your son only being 100 pounds, I bet the 28 would still be too big. I told my son to accept he must wear a belt with his jeans.

We had that issue last year, thankfully ds bulked up a little and is up to a 30" waist....much easier I got lucky and found a couple pairs at Plato's Closet, I think they were American Eagle and maybe Aeropostale. Penney's carries them online, but I never found them in store. Honestly ds mostly wore jogging pants anyhow, so thankfully I didn't have to make a part-time job out of finding them for him

My son is a 28x32 but it is hard to find 28 so he usually buys 29 and belts them. And if you find 28 a lot of the time the longest length it comes in is 30. Best luck at Aeropastale (which he won't wear anymore since he is 21 and feels that it is a teeny bopper store), at Macy's we can get Levis - they usually have to order them, JCPenneys - the Arizona brand, and we have a store called The Buckle in the mall that carries that size (although they are expensive). The worst was when he had a job that required black jeans(the next day)and no stores in town had them in his size. We finally found a pair of Arizona's at JCPs that were "off" black (somewhat faded).
I totally feel your pain.

Also check in the boys section - I could get a 16 or 18 in boys to fit my son until he wouldn't let me shop in the boys section anymore

JC Penney online. DH is 6'6 and we have to get jeans there online. I just checked and they have 33 different pairs of 28x32, most of which are on sale. And I believe they ship to a store for free.

Wal-Mart. They are the only retail place I know if that carries the really small waist sizes. I had the same problem with both my DS's.

When my boys were that size, we usually special ordered. Have you looked at Zappo's? They have some good size ranges there; it's where I find jeans for DH.

My son is 29 and still wears a 28x32. I have ordered online from JCPenney several times - they have both Arizona and Levis in that size.

shorts? Sorry, I'm no help. I've pretty much given up on my daughter and pants. We had a hard time last year and she's grown a few inches in length and none in the waist. I was just commenting that the tennis skirt she was wearing looked awfully short. Well yeah - it's a size 7/8 - CHILD! The girl is almost 5'4". I'm dreading back to school shopping!!!

I agree with all of the above, have your son try on the jeans for fit in the waist size and then resign yourself that to get the longer inseam, you will have to order on-line. Order online quickly. I would buy in the next waist size up at the same time.
Also, Old Navy and other stores have slim-fit jeans and you might be surprised that he may be okay with a size 29 waist.
My son wore a 28x34 and then 29x34 jeans, but he has a booty so we couldn't do the slim fit.

American Eagle and Hollister would be my recommendations. DS started with Hollister jeans a couple of years ago, but now prefers AE. I know both of them carry that size. I believe that Hollister even has 26" waist sizes available online.

He is also 6'2" last time we checked. But with summer gone by, who knows. If there are any in store, there seems to be one pair and gone quick for all of us with storks for sons. I have had better (not good) luck online. ETA Thought I'd better start looking with school weeks away. Target has them and they didn't (or were out).

American Eagle. You can return them to the store if they don't fit or feel right.

28x32 at 100 lbs will be too big in the waist for him. My 115 lb DS who is also 5'10 has to belt even his 27 shorts.

Do you have a rue 21 by you? My son gets skinny jeans there. Good point! Don't discount skinny jeans. I know some teens don't like them. Most look like regular jeans on my son. Some make his backside look weird.

Thanks for all of the options. We found some he liked at the Buckle, but I am not into paying $85 for one pair of jeans for him.
He says the 28 waist fits. He still needs a belt though, I think. I'm pretty sure he wears them closer to his hips than his waist, so that is why the 28 fit.
We're going to try some of the other brick and motor stores suggested and I will check online.

My DS is the same height and weight and is really picky about his clothes. He finds jeans at Hot Topic, Vans and some Levis styles he orders from Amazon.
