I'm guessing I ended up here from the old scrapbooking boards at AOL. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)
I know that I lurked for a long time (like a year) before I ever joined or posted.

I was a member of scrapbook dot com when I first got into scrapbooking. (I don't know why I went to an American based one rather than a primarily UK based one.) I saw 2 Peas mentioned quite a lot and I was curious and fascinated by it's reputation, it was so feared and apparently so 'nasty' so I lurked for ages until I felt comfortable enough to join in 2004. And then I finally understood the Hotel California references ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Pretty much the same way for me! I kept hearing about the veggie site and I had to google and search for awile before I found 2peas.

I signed up to go to CKU in 2003 and joined a Yahoo group/MB (I was already using Yahoo groups for some other things, so searched the groups for CKU). From that MB, someone linked to DeniseinIndy's post on 2Peas about her experience at a previous CKU. I lurked for about a year, then signed up. I split my time between GS and NSBR for a long time, but eventually NSBR took over for me. I haven't scrapped in years.
I found refupeas about a month after the original board shut down. It was getting harder and harder to be without my daily 2Peas fix, so I finally got the bright idea to Google it. I found this place and signed up immediately.

I found 2peas years ago while working graveyard shift. Would shop while at work and occasionally read the message board. About 16 years ago.
Went back to check it out recently and saw it had shut down. Googled to see if an off-shoot board had opened, as many had when the AOL boards died out. Found a link here right away.

It must have been 2011 or 12 and I was googling "Smashbooks" for ideas. I ended up, I believe, on scrapbook.com and a post about how they didn't get the interest in Smashbooks. At some point I noticed "Two Peas" either in a post or in someone's signature and after more googling, it was in. I was mostly a lurker at Two Peas, but much more prolific at Refupeas.

I think I originally heard about Two Peas (as well as the Jangle and DMarie message boards), on the now defunct AOL scrapbook message board. I joined Two peas in the beginning stages, my pea number was below 100. But when the website or boards crashed (or whatever happened), I had to re-register, so I ended up with a different member number.

Like many / most of us, I was a huge scrapbooker. I found the old 2 peas through the online store in the late 90s, early 2000s. I loved the gallery, the Pub board and the finally landed on the Non-scrabooking board when my interest in scrapbooking went from an obsession to an occassional pass time. I am Facebook friends with many peas and came right over here the day the sh*t hit the fan and this site was created, and honestly, I like this one better! I'll never forget all the posts in my Facebook feed the day the old 2 Peas site closed... it was crazy!

I think it was in 2004 when I found the original 2peas. I kept seeing the site mentioned in LO credits and articles in the CK magazine, so thought I would check it out. I was on the GS board for awhile before venturing over to NSBR. I found 2peas refugees shortly after it started, through connections with other peas. I had been active on the WW message boards prior to 2peas, but have not been active on other message boards since.

My sister told me about it. Then my other sister also started reading 2 peas. One Thanksgiving we were sitting around laughing about things we had read. I guess we got out of control a little bit because my nieces (early twenties) were offended by the things we were telling and left the room. That made us laugh even harder.

Yep. Was on d'marie scrapbooking board - was a member there for what seems like quite awhile and then I heard about 2peas in 1999 and wandered over. It was early on in 2peas history. I participated on the main scrapboking board and one day I wandered over to NsBR and found my home. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

My dd was doing scrapbooking through 4H, and her instructor mentioned looking at the 2peas GS and gallery pages for ideas. I found the NSBR page first and felt right at home. I've been fortunate to have met and become friends with about a dozen peas (also attended the first 2peas scrapbook weekend in Madison.) I was vacationing in Cabo with dd when 2peas went belly up. Thank goodness luanne let me know, right away, about this site! (ETA - and with this post I became a Chatterbox! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) )

I bought a scrapbooking book (Dummies guide, maybe) and it had a list of websites in the back, including 2peas, saying it was a good place for swaps. I posted something about swaps and immediately got raked over the coals because apparently that was a big no-no. After posting in GS for awhile, I started looking at NSBR and found it was an endless source of information, education, and entertainment.

2004 I think. Scrapbooking related searches and two peas came up. I've met some fun Atlanta peas at crops and still keep in touch with a few. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

There was a thread about 2Ps on Scrapbook Addict, how we should avoid NSBR because it was so hateful. So, of course, I had to investigate. I didn't lurk much on NSBR but I did on the scrapping page. Later, after I stopped scrapping, I went over to the dark side. me too except it wasn't scrapbook addict.

I started at CKMB shortly after I started scrapping. They didn't have a gallery so I used the 2Peas gallery and occasionally asked a question on the scrapping board. I lurked on NSBR for quite awhile before I got the courage to post. I didn't post often but after I got my first hand slap out of the way it was easier ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) When 2Peas shut down I quickly joined a Facebook page and later that day someone messaged me that they missed my 'what's for dinner' threads and gave me the link for this board ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

I found the original 2Peas in 2004 googling Disneyland scrapbook layout ideas. Found my way here googling where did Two peas in a bucket go? My search took me to another message board (either Spliitcoaststampers or ACOT, I can't remember) and I followed the bread crumbs home.

Was in a chatroom at Jangle when Kristina said she had started putting her own site up and it was going to be different from the other scrapping sites at the time. I went over and registered. That was Feb 1999. I was the first non-White family member to register. My little claim to fame (not).
Say what you want about the bucket, it very quickly became a trendsetter for the industry at the time.

I don't remember how I found the original 2peas. I think I was on scrapbook.com but didn't like it and somehow stumbled upon 2 peas. When 2peas bellied up, I found this place from another pea.

Not as far back as many of you, for sure! I started scrapping when we were thinking of adopting from Foster care and had to put together a "forever family" album for our prospective child. That was 2003-2004. But I didn't find 2Peas until after I switched to digiscrapping and was participating in a team challenge event. My teammate commented about a huge blowup on the message boards at the Peas-- I want to say it was about someone stealing others' Disney layouts and claiming them as her own--and linked to NSBR. I became an immediate lurker but it took a couple of years for me to register and post.
I had been absent from 2Peas for a couple of months when it went belly up. Fortuitously, I checked in a few days after the closing, realized what had happened, and started googling. This board was the first hit.

I had started gathering up stuff to go with our pictures before my late husband died in late August 2001. We had gone to a scrapbooking store that was just opening in Colorado Springs, seeing what was available and deciding what style we were going to go with. The dog bone Coluzzle was probably the first true scrapbooking item I bought. Though I'd already bought the hummingbird self-inking Roller stamp but that was mainly for cards and also the Fiskars rolling trimmer with the crease blade and perforation blades but they were also for cards and price tags. In early 2002, a scrapbook store opened in Canon City, my friend who lives there went to the grand opening and bought 2 scrapbooking books. She read them, gave them to me and said learn how to do this and show me! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I found CKMB in one of the books and joined. I was wanting some ideas for a page and was told that 2 peas had a great gallery. Could NOT find 2 peas and asked for help to find it and told it was Two Peas in a Bucket.com. I didn't realize at first that there WAS a messageboard, all I saw was the gallery and shopping. I finally joined about May 2002 but lost my number in the glitch and had to reenter on October 14, 2002. I lurked on dMarie, Scrapbook.com and Jangle but only posted on CKMB and 2 peas GS. I finally drifted away from CKMB because if you asked a question, your post would disappear so quickly because it wouldn't bounce back up to the top when someone posted, I liked the fact that on 2 peas, it would go back to the top if you were getting responses. I joined one of the Two Peas offshoot boards, SNY, less than a year before shutdown. I posted on the last 2 peas thread that was BTT'd just seconds before the threads were locked the night before, the one about giving notice on the job when every one that gives notice is told to leave immediately. Read the boards that morning but didn't post. Came home for lunch and while eating, checked SNY first. THAT is when I found out 2 Peas was locked and going down. They also had knowledge of how to get to 2Peas Refugees. The only pea that I'm Facebook friends with is eebud and she also said me and my pile of Dachshunds needed to come here, so here I am. My first thought was, I'll never know if the lady waited until the end to give notice and the other was, I won't know if NeedMySanity's son eventually contacts her. Never found out about the former but at least (unless I've missed something), NeedMySanity has had some great updates! I was glad that I was already on the other offshoot board

I started with message boards when I got a job in the scrapbooking industry.
I worked for a local scrapbooking business and then for several manufacturers and kit clubs. Having an online presence was a requirement for those jobs. I was required to have a blog, a scrapbook.com and 2peas gallery and be active on both site's boards. I was required to have a FB account and accept friend requests of anyone in the industry or followers of the industry.
I posted in the gallery and on the scrapping board under my real name. Then I discovered the NSBR and wanted to be able to post without ramifications from my employers so I made an account with a screen name for posts there.
When 2peas locked the boards I went to the infamous blog which led me to several pea FB groups and those led me here.

My very first online presence was Dmarie. Then SJ, then two peas, then FB. After two peas closed the boards without warning I was messaged on FB, about refupeas.

I belonged to a scrapbook board on AOL. Found out about dMarie and 2Peas as shopping and idea resources but didn't use the boards at either place. then aol changed their format in such a way that I couldn't read the board any more (tiny tiny font that couldn't be enlarged) So I started reading the boards at the other two sites but dmarie had very little traffic at that point so I went with 2peas.. when it closed without warning I hit up facebook for peas on my friends list to find out where they were all going.

I searched for groups and I saw an ad in the back of Creating Keepsakes magazine waaaaaay back when. When two peas was getting ready to fold I was lost. I checked the board for the last time and saw that I had a private message from someone with a link to this board. Bless you whoever you are!
