I don't know why I was thinking about this last night but I stated tracing my online history. How did you get to two peas refugees? I started out on refundcents . com in 1999? because I was big into couponing at the time. It was the first mb I participated on. From there, I found mycoupons . com (also 1999) and its YFB forum (your family board). That place was like nsbr but on a smaller scale. Many of the women there were scrapbookers and that is where I first heard of 2 peas. You know the rest. So, what's your story?

Somewhere around 1999 I found the CK message board...I think I found their site from their magazine and was looking for a scrapper in my area to connect with (never happened!). After being on the CKMB awhile and seeing everyone linking 2Peas gallery where they posted their work (CKMB didn't have a gallery back then) I joined 2Peas to post to the gallery as well. On occasion someone on CKMB would post about the NSBR at 2Peas and I'd lurk and read the posts. I have no idea when or why I started posting at 2Peas. When CK changed the format of their board my "friends" moved to the Simple Scrapbook board (where we were hated because we "took it over" when in actuality it was a pretty dead forum). SS closed and we moved to a Proboards message board. At some point I abandoned the CK board all together and started hanging out at 2Peas. When I had an accident and was out of work for 6 months in 2010 I became much more active.

I was a member of scrapbook dot com when I first got into scrapbooking. (I don't know why I went to an American based one rather than a primarily UK based one.) I saw 2 Peas mentioned quite a lot and I was curious and fascinated by it's reputation, it was so feared and apparently so 'nasty' so I lurked for ages until I felt comfortable enough to join in 2004. And then I finally understood the Hotel California references

I found the old Two Peas when I started buying scrap booking things. I was looking for reviews of products on the Internet and found the General Scrapbooking board. It was awhile before I found NSBR and I lurked for a loooong time-- 2 or 3 years.

I was on some other scrapping site - scrap jazz maybe? - and kept seeing references to the "veggie site." They wouldn't write out the name of the site because it was against TOS to mention competing retailers. I don't remember how I found out the name of the "veggie site" but eventually I did, and I wandered over and never went back to scrap jazz.

I found the old 2 Peas via the Creating Keepsakes message board - I found the refupeas quite by accident!

I found two peas while searching for scrapbooking quotes (remember Pea Soup?). I had that bookmarked for years and one day, I went back and just started searching the entire site before I found NSBR.

I originally found the site in 1999, when scrapbooking first came on my radar, probably from reading about it in Creating Keepsakes. In 2003, I stumbled on it again, but this time, I found NSBR and there was an epic battle (version 1._) going on between Lauren and another Pea whose name escapes me (I think she was from the Boston area) I was fascinated and appalled by the level of viciousness in some of their exchanges, but like a train wreck I couldn't drag myself away. I've been hooked ever since.

I was on an ivillage expecting board when pregnant with my youngest, and I had started scrap booking about 2 years before. It occurred to me they might have a scrap booking board, they did, and then for layout ideas someone mentioned the gallery at 2peas. I joined in 2000-2001? It was early enough that I lost my first pea name in the switch over of styles, which was a good thing because I had accidentally made my password (which was my oldest dds name with numbers in it) my username and it was dumb and annoying, lol. For a couple years I only looked at the gallery and general scrap, I think I jumped into nsbr around 2003. I've never been a prolific poster but I've been around a long time.

There was a thread about 2Ps on Scrapbook Addict, how we should avoid NSBR because it was so hateful. So, of course, I had to investigate. I didn't lurk much on NSBR but I did on the scrapping page. Later, after I stopped scrapping, I went over to the dark side.

I came from CK message board, too. 1999. Found CK with a search of "scrapbooking". I didn't know what it was but I heard the word at Joann's and knew I wanted to do it.

I was searching the Internet. I had just started a part time job (prior to college) in a scrap store and I wanted to be on top of product trends, industry news etc, so I searched for somewhere online that provided it. It came up on a Google search. I think they were only open about a week or 2 or a few days or something when I found them, but I lurked often for well over a year before I signed up as a member. Then it took me another 2 years to even post a layout. I pretty much only hung out at the gs board, then became a visitor to nsbr in the last year of 2ps

I have completely forgotten how I ended up on 2Peas...it's a very long time ago. I lurked for years and years before I actually dared to post anything (I actually think my first post was about the bomb and shooting in Norway 4 years ago, when 83 people were murdered. My DH could have been one of them, if he hadn't decided on taking that day off work).

I think my first exposure was the 2peas gallery and I just started clicking around. The rest is history.

I found Two Peas thru a scrapbooking magazine. I found 2peasrefugees when someone sent a message about the new site when the old site was going down. I wish I remember the name of the person who messaged me.

Yeah, my mom explained it all to me when I was young. I was on another scrapbooking board and heard about 2Peas. I joined 2Peas in 2000 when I found their store. I had heard about the NSBR board on the other site so I checked it out. Lurked for a long time and only posted occasionally. I just never felt as comfortable posting there as I do here.

I ordered a scrapbook kit from QVC and it had a CK mag in it, I think this was back in 1999 or 2000. It had a few scrapbook sites listed and I joined one--ScrapBookAddict. 2peas was mentioned on that site and I checked it out and joined in 2001.

It was during the great Tear Bear Wars of 2006 (I think that was the year?). I was on the eBay boards and the topic was brought up there with a link to the fighting at two peas. I signed up but didn't post much for a long time.

I can't remember specifically, although it was probably through Scrapbook Addict, or dMarie. I lurked for years before I finally came out of the woodwork. I think I started posting a little bit when dMarie closed, but I'm not sure. Or maybe it was when Scrapbook Addict changed formats and it just wasn't the same after that.
I know I lurked around Pea Soup and the Gallery for a long time, read the Scrapbook board mostly, and NSBR occasionally. I slowly switched over to mostly NSBR as the scrapbook styles started to change to things I had no interest in doing.

I was on bed rest with DS1, and bored to tears. I started with SCS, and some random baby mb, bs I'm sure heard of 2 peas via SCS. However, I lurked for years- and it was the NSBR board that hooked me. I don't think I ever really used 2peas for anything else.
When they closed, someone had my email and filled me in on the RFPeas, I hopped right over!

I was Googling scraprooms when I found the NSBR in 2005. That was the only board at Two Peas in which I ever participated.

Well, when a man and woman love each other sometimes they hug with no clothes on and *wish* for a baby.......... ^. this is what my mother told me and I believed it for a looooong time.
In other news, it was 1999. And I saw an ad in Creating Keepsakes Mag. I started lurking but didn't sign up for a while. I remember my very first thread I started. I was scared to death, hahaha. Yungmom (Patty) was one of the first people to post and welcome me to the pod. And the rest they say, is history.

I was told about 2Peas online store at a crop, about a million years ago (actually it was around 2001). Found the MB via the store, spent the first couple of months on the General Scrapping board then gravitated to NSBR. Took me a long time to contribute and even then it was only sporadic. I think between 2001 and when 2Peas shut down I had maybe 500 posts. Shameful I know

Pretty sure I saw an ad in Creating Keepsakes and I used to download layouts (in black and white!!) along with quotes and titles from Pea soup back around 2000.
It took me a few years to go onto the message boards as I had no experience with how they worked at all! I lurked for many years, enjoying all the excitement and drama ( I have a great memory and remember all the good ones!) and only signed up and started posting about a year or so before it closed down.
I googled Two Peas closing 2 days later and found myself here. And now I make an effort to post a lot more!
You get very used to checking into a familiar place and I felt quite lost when 2Peas shut down so I was very pleased to find a new home. Corinne

It was 2002. I was sick at home and bored and was on some other scrapbooking site (Although I can't remember which for certain, for some reason dmarie comes to mind.) and someone made reference to 2 Peas, and I checked it out. At that point I only was interested in General Scrappin'. Then I wound up on bedrest and was really bored and I found NSBR and I wasn't bored anymore!

I lurked on scrapbook.com and ScrapJazz but ended up on SJ because it was smaller and less intimidating. It was there that I heard about the "veggie" site, and when I dabbled in digi, I got my kits from 2peas. I got my social at SJ, my scrappy inspiration at sb.com and NSBR provided my train-wreck fix. I only discovered about UK Scrappers much later.

I am going to be the odd duck here. I did not come to the pod by way of scrapping. I was trying to learn how to use my new DSLR camera, googled and found the photography board ions ago when it was very active and full of professional photographers. I didn't move over to NSBR until the photo board started to die due to drama and mass exits.

I was a member of the old Cricut/PC, CK, and SCAL boards. When I switched to digi in 2009, I purchased digi supplies from 2Peas and ventured into the message boards hoping for ideas.

In 2003 I became obsessed with making those paper bag scrapbooks and when searching for ideas I came across the 2peas gallery.

I believe in the 8 or 9 years I was a member, I only had like 200 posts. I was very intimidated by the NSBR but I was so addicted to learning new things and so many different POV's. When the switch happened, I figured it was now or never to dive in and participate more. So glad I did.
