Before this thread disappears until next year I wanted to stop by and to say this was fun.
I loved receiving the cards both the ones purchased and the handmade ones. I loved making my cards.
My only problem was how to display them. During this past year I have been changing my furniture. In the process I got rid of the piece that had a lot decorating real estate.
One night I sat looking at my growing stack of cards trying to figure out how to show them off. Finally decided to hang a strip of fancy Christmas ribbon and clip the cards on the ribbon with some small painted clothes pins. Made one ribbon, then two and finally stopped at 5 because I ran out of wall space and tiny clothes pins. But the ones I hung looked great.
Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Thank you to all the Peas who participated in the card exchange this year. I greatly enjoyed sending out my cards, and coming home from work every day to a pile of new mail certainly brightened my holiday! I actually saved all of my cards and opened them on Christmas Eve. It was a lovely part of my Christmas. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who sent me a card, I cherished each one and was excited to see them arrive each day.
This year was tight and I wasn't able to send to everyone on the list, I sent 65 US and 12 international, hope they were all well received.
Next year I will set aside some card / postage money and send to every person on the list.
I started a new job and have been working crazy hours so I haven't been here to comment much, but I really appreciated being a part of the card swap.
Thank you all for participating and to Angie for organizing.

I, too, have loved this card swap and will definitely participate again next year. One of my friends made one of these clothespin wreaths for her cards and I thought it was brilliant! I bought the materials today to make one in my colors. She used Christmas washi tape on her clothespins instead of painting them.

Such a fun thread! I started making my family cards in January last year and made a few every couple of months. I think I'll try to make 10-15 each month so I can sign up next year!! Dh would love getting lots of cards. Right now I make ours and he signs, addresses and mails them for me. I would love to have him receive more

I guess there are still a fair number of papercrafters among us!
I truly loved them all and I can't wait until next year. I guess I better get started, if I hope to make all of mine next year!
Thank you, Refu-Peas!

My Sister in Law was amazed by how many cards I got from "strangers". My brother couldn't believe people from other countries would send me a card.
I sent to everyone. I got 85 cards. I love every one of them.

Ditto!! I loved getting the cards and finding places to display them. I will definitely have to come up with a new method, I totally ran out of space. What a lovely dilemma! I got around 75 cards. All the family really enjoyed getting them. Thank you so much to everyone who participated.

I also ran out of space. I will need to come up with a different display option next year.

Loved all the cards I received this year! It's always fun doing the card exchange, I think this is my 4th or 5th year. I especially love seeing the variety of cards sent, both store bought and handmade.

This is my first year of doing this, and I plan to do this again next year, with more cards being sent out. However, I would like to keep this year's cards and make a book type of thing for them, similar to this on Pinterest: I want to keep the envelopes as well - as they are postmarked from everywhere - Alaska, Scotland, States, Iceland etc - how have you ladies kept the cards previously?

A huge heartfelt thank you for sending cards for this one-time-only to my dd and her children. Every time they received Christmas Cards, it made them feel special for a moment. I can't thank you all enough.

I want to add my thank you to everyone as well. My family loved seeing the cards and was impressed that the peas are "real" and sent cards to me. Haha. I was low on funds and time this year and didn't get to send to everyone - I plan to send even more next year. This was really a lot of fun and I loved all the cards. Thank you peas- and like I said in my card thank you all for being part of my pea family.

I bought the materials today to make one in my colors. She used Christmas washi tape on her clothespins instead of painting them. Love this idea, however, for all the cards received this time, this would not fit them all! But this would be great to fill up and hang the rest around it. I may have to make one for myself. I do not have the final count yet. I received quite a bit on Saturday, so I will wait a couple more days and see if I get more. This year has been a lot of fun. I did buy store bought cards, but added the sparkle to them. Gave them a little bit more life! I plan to make my cards this next year and if I am smart, I will start now...
Thank you everyone!

I am so glad that I participated this year! Even though I didn't get to everyone, my goal next year is the complete list. The cards were amazing and so much fun to open!! The creative and talented peas who sent hand made cards-WOW! Beautiful! I wish I had a fraction of your talent. I even received 2 more cards today. Thank you Angie for organizing the exchange.

One of my favorite things about Christmas has always been giving and receiving cards. Over the years most of my friends and family have stopped sending cards. The last couple of years it has been really sparse. So, this card exchange has really brought my love of cards back! I put them on ribbons on a door (with paper clips) and it looks so great! I am going to try and make some through out the year also so I am ready for next year. This was one of my favorite things this year. Thanks to all that participated!!!!!!

Thanks for the correct info. I got 55 cards - Scotland, Iceland, 2 UK, 4 Canada, the rest USA. Kerry and Kelli addressed the envelopes so beautifully. psiluvu I loved the photo card of Ottawa. Thank you all who took the time to write a note. I only got about 7 cards from family and friends so this was very nice. It was so fun and festive. I'm sure the postmistress was wondering why my cat was getting so many cards or what 2 Peas were. Haha!
