Is this the same story? linkIf it isn't the same, does anyone know what happened with that? The last I remember, she tried sending a Facebook message to someone she believed was related to the letter writer, but didn't get a response.

I thought the lady who posted here was from Florida? Although it was so long ago, I'm not sure. I thought I remembered a photo of a white house - the house that she bought and found the letters in.
I have no idea what happened to the letters but would love to find out.

I think that is the thread, but sadly the OP is no longer a member, or at least her name is not clickable. Maybe she changed her name and is still here?? It would be neat to get an update on the Alice Marsh story!

Hi! Ha--I did leave the board but signed up again just to answer. (I'm here reading every day!) I was surprised the system gave me the same username. I did finally make contact with a woman on Facebook who turned out to be the stepdaughter of Aluce's youngest son. She gave my contact info to her stepdad's biological son, either her step or half brother (didn't say), because he lives near his dad and sees him weekly. I scanned all the letters, took pictures, and packed it all up in a box. I sent it overnight fedex for $75. I didn't want it to get lost. The son (Alice's grandson) wanted me to mail the letters to his home so he could personally deliver them to his dad. He said he never knew Alice, but his dad is very sentimental about her and lioved her very much. He said he would take pictures of them opening the box of letters with his dad and his own children and send them. People get busy, so I don't want to expect them anytime soon. I'm hopeful, though. So, I'm somewhat sad that none of Alice's grandkids from that son really knew her well, but who knows about other grandkids from the remaining living brothers. The woman told me a bit about Larry (Alice's beau) being somewhat curmudgeonly but very considerate in paying for college for all the grandkids, even her as a step. I feel very good that Alice's son, who adored her, will have received a time capsule of one very important year of her life. I was super sad to send them away, though. I'm so glad you all remember this story! Great update, thanks for coming back!
