akathy mentioned yesterday that she was away on a girl's shopping weekend, so I'm thinking she won't mind if I start the thread today! DS played his final fall baseball game ever today, then we came home and watched the Lions win a game for a change. I made a pot of chili which, if you are a spreadsheet keeping pea, you know I detest!! Dh and ds will eat that and I will eat just about anything else? How is you Sunday going and what are you having for dinner?

We had Little Ceasars pizza pizza. Not bad when you have no oven.

littlemama That last game must have been emotional! Is he not planning on playing in college?
It was rainy yesterday and the sun is shining today. I had planned meatloaf and homemade mac n cheese since I thought it was going to be cold out. Oh well, one more day of not turning the heat on!
I'll steam or roast some broccoli to go with it.

Ribs are in the oven. I'll be making mashed potatoes and squash when they are closer to done.

We had Little Ceasars pizza pizza. Not bad when you have no oven. My favorite pizza!! My nephew was dedicated today and there was a soup and sandwich lunch after church. I thought that would tide me over since the soup was hearty and we are at 2, yet here it is at 6, and I am a hungry girl. I may make some potstickers once the boy is asleep.

I'll steam or roast some broccoli to go with it. He did make the decision not to pursue playing in college. He wants to go to the school he chose, not just go somewhere in order to play ball. He knows he is never going to play in the majors, and has decided to focus his efforts on his career goal. It was not an easy decision for him, but he made a mature, well thought out decision. As for fall ball, it has always secretly been our least favorite season, so it wasn't as emotional as the end of high school season will be.

We are going out tonight but haven't decided where. Brazilian and Peruvian have both been suggested . . .

Remember yesterday I made that Creamy Chicken & Rice Soup? Well tonight I'm going to dig out my mini-pie maker and use the leftover soup (it's really thick) to make mini chx pot pies. I'll serve them with a green salad and call it dinner.

Thanks littlemama you're right I'm still out of town. I'm waiting for two of my friends to finish checking out at Sam's, we'll drop a couple off, gas up and hit for home. We've got 100 miles to drive so I'm ready to go!! We were up until 4:00AM, slept in and I'm still full from a huge breakfast. Not sure if we're stopping for dinner or not, I'm not driving Thanks again littlemama!

I thought dh was going to grill hot dogs, but when it was time, he decided it was too cold outside, so......since I had nothing else planned, I put together a chili corn-dog casserole and served it with some steamed cauliflower and apple slices. For dessert I had some peach single serving pies from the bakery section of the grocery store.

I was busy in the kitchen today! Between tutoring and yoga, I'm not home for dinner the next two nights. I made a large pot of Broccoli/Cheese soup and some scalloped potatoes. Along with the pot of soup from yesterday, that should keep DH fed thru Wednesday. After all that, I didn't want to eat anything hot so I'm eating yogurt and granola. I'll probably snack on a Honeycrisp apple when I watch Walking Dead later.

We live in a northern state, so for us, too cold to grill is below 20 degrees.

Chili!! A little football, NASCAR, toy room cleaning, bow sighting and bill paying today. It smelled soooo good in the house while it was simmering.

I made a ham and potato chowder in the crockpot. DH picked up some crusty bread and some cannoli's and eclairs for dessert. Everyone is quite stuffed right now.

Grilled pork tenderloin, roasted blue hubbard squash, stovetop stuffing and peas. I roasted 2 pumpkins, 2 butternut squash, 2 acorn squash, and the blue hubbard. I then turned half of it into dehydrated dog treats, saved some for dinner, and pureed and froze the rest for pies and muffins until next June.

I made chicken tenders, steamed rice and veggie. I'm contemplating the meal plan for the week, too.

After going out to lunch today (me, hubby, son, my mama, and my in-laws), we didn't need a heavy supper. So my husband made shrimp bisque and I did cornbread in the cast iron skillet to go with it.

Big birthday blowout grill out at my mom's. It was my dad's early birthday, my brother's late birthday and my nephew's early birthday family fun day. We grilled out bbq (the sauce-homemade) chicken, baked potatoes, brocoli casserole, etc. and cake. Lovely delicious wonderful chocolate cake (my great-great grandmother's recipe.) I am stuffed to the gills and got to spend the day with a couple of sisters, my brother, a sister in law, a brother in law, a boyfriend in law, a bunch of nephews and my parents. We ate, we sang happy birthday, we opened presents, we ate cake and ice cream and got to spend the day together. Perfect day.

leannec, how is the roast from M&M meats? I am considering to buy a roast. Does it heat up quickly? Does it have a yummy flavour to it?
