What are your favorites and ones to skip? I am going to be giving them to my family this Christmas. Thanks, Jen

I'm looking at this one for my mom: Munch Better since she likes to snack. I'd love to get a fruit one for DH's grandparents, but I am having a hard time finding a Canadian company or one that doesn't have outrageous shipping to Canada.

We did Birchbox and did not like it, so we (DD and I) switched to Ipsy - love it. It comes in a cute bag every month.

I currently subscribe to Fair Trade Friday. It's a Christian ministry that employs women and gives them hope for their future. Here's a description from their website: I've gotten 3 boxes so far and have loved every one of them. There is a waiting list, so if you're interested, sign up quickly.

I should be getting my Sephora Play! shipment any day now. I have heard really good things about it so far.
I used to get Birchbox and Ipsy, but I got bored with them after a while. SO really likes the Birchbox for Men though.

Oh yeah! I love Kristen Welch and the idea behind Fair Trade Friday. I'm glad to hear from someone who has first hand knowledge of the box.

Why is this blogger's box so much better than mine? Only one sample was the same. The only bright spot in mine was a lipstick that DD and I both loved - LOC Tati - even though it was in a much brighter color than we would have selected. I'm also pretty sure that two of the items showing in my review page do not match the items we actually got - going to check that when I get home.

I get birchbox and I love getting the little samples every month. And my DH gets a graze box every two weeks. He enjoys the snacks.

I did the trial for Graze, and I really liked it, but I just couldn't justify paying $6.50 for the teensy quantity. It was fun to try, but it is expensive for what you get.

I used to get Birchbox and Ipsy, but I got bored with them after a while. I get both of those and am reaching that same point. One month, I'll be convinced that one of them in "not worth it" and I'm going to cancel. The next month, that one will be fabulous and the other will be lacking. I should probably just cancel both. I no longer get really delighted to receive them each month. Heck, most of the stuff gets handed straight over to the high school daughter of our best friends. Lol.

$10/month which I think is pretty on par with other boxes. I just got mine notice that I'll be receiving it on Wednesday. Can't wait!

I also like graze for snack boxes also (that's a referral link if you're interested). I like that you can "customize" the boxes to avoid getting items you don't like (peanuts, corn, etc.) and easily put your subscription on hold. It is a little expensive for what you get, but I figure these are healthier snacks than the vending machine. I like the flapjacks (their version of soft granola bars) best. I subscribed to Conscious Box through Living Social or Groupon (also referral links). I can't remember which. I did not think the boxes were good values, even at the discounted price. I also subscribed to the Hatchery (not a referral link, lol). This one was a lot of fun. It introduced me to a lot of new things (drinking vinegar, granulated honey, maple flakes, different cooking sauces) and I even bought full size containers of many items. What I didn't like was there was usually one "hot" or "chili" item which I wouldn't use, but I have a relative who likes that stuff so it didn't go to waste. I thought it was a good mix of items.

Thanks, I think $10/mo seems reasonable. I searched the Sephora site, but found all info minus price.

Any teen or preteen girls on your list? My mil gave my dd's sub boxes last year for christmas. One got ibebeautiful, and one got boodlebox. They are around $20 per month, but so worth it! My daughters loved it and are asking for them again this year.

I get Boxycharm and I love it! I feel like it's s great value, lots of full size products and I usually like at least 4 if not all 5 of the products they send.

I'm also pretty sure that two of the items showing in my review page do not match the items we actually got - going to check that when I get home. I've heard (okay, read ONCE somewhere online) a theory that BB bases your samples in part on your selected income level. Higher income means samples of items that cost more at retail. When you are double checking your items, be sure that you click the ones you're not sure match, to get the full description. Sometimes they will show an entire kit as the "item" but they've really only sent one product from that kit. (It's kind of a let down, LOL, but I think sometimes they don't have the individual item... that or they're trying to upsell you on the kit.) And sometimes the sample doesn't look like the full size picture. Also, did you not get an email (last month or the two prior) to pick a sample? (Everyone got a LOC Tati sample, either eye or lip-- they sent out emails to pick which, and in which shade...) jumperhop, I have birchbox and ipsy as well. The thing about ipsy is that they don't have a way for you to purchase a gift subscription. You can do it by signing up and putting the recipient's shipping info and your email in, and then changing over the email later, but it's not as straightforward as Birchbox's seems to be.) I

We love Boodle Box, Owl Crate and Art Snacks. So excited to get our boxes every month. Boodle Box is girly make-up, accessories, etc. Owl Crate is book related, comes with a YA book and fun stuff. Art Snacks is art supplies and a treat. Oh and Fandom of the Month club. Just a fun one, a different fandom every month. Someone in the house usually claims it.

I've received Pop Sugar Must Have boxes as a gift and they were lovely -- full sizes, variety of products, good quality. Sorry, I don't know anything about the pricing.
Fun ideas in this thread!
