I'm sorry that you have to wait so long. My dsis had a biopsy and an ultrasound last year. Luckily, it was all okay. Please take care and know that you are in our thoughts.

They called back and now I return for an ultrasound after Thanksgiving. That actually sounds rather promising. If it was highly suspicious, you would have already had a biopsy or would have been scheduled for one. I'm sure you have already read that tenderness is generally not associated with breast cancer. It's usually do to something related to a cyst. Cysts are a normal part of breast architecture, but when enlarged, can be exquisitely tender as many can attest! Thank you. I looked up nodules and read that up to 85% are benign. I am trying to go along with the theory that if it was serious, I'd be on my way to the major medical center asap.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers! I was called back for extra views and an ultrasound after my latest mammogram - it was all clear but the waiting was really hard.

Having just had a mammo and knowing how scared I was ( I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May and colon cancer 6 years ago) I inow the worry of waiting for results.
However, the odds are very much in your favour right now. If only you didn't have to wait so long! Lifting you in prayer x

Prayers that all is ok. It sucks that you have to wait so long, but like others have said, maybe that is a good sign.

Having been in that boat, I totally understand your feelings. They did both scans and the ultrasound while I was there and it was scary beyond belief! Try and get them to get you in sooner. That is too long to have to wait. Have your doctor call and get you an appointment sooner.
Just know that most of these are NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING! I ended up with a biopsy and it was nothing but it was the absolute scariest time in my entire life. I spent those days before my results coming in planning for the worst.
There is NO reason to worry until you HAVE a reason to worry!
ETA: I see why you can't go sooner. Just go and enjoy your holiday! You have gotten some good advice. I agree, they don't seem to be too concerned so remember that. I panicked and my GYN said she wouldn't have done the biopsy but I scheduled it right away. Looking back, I should have listened to her.

Sending good vibes your way. Try not to let it spoil your Thanksgiving. I had a lump once and they sent me right to ultrasound. They scheduled surgery that day for less than a week away. To say I was scared was an understatement since they seemed to be rushing everything. Instead of a biopsy, the dr removed the lump and it turned out to be benign, kind of like a fibroid would be. Hang in there!

It is nerve racking waiting for results. I have been through it a couple of times. I do hope it is nothing.
