It's SO bad in Collin/Dallas/Ellis counties. Homes destroyed, several cars in a pile-up with people trapped and multiple serious injuries, gas leaks in Rowlett, people missing, fires, 4+ tornados that have touched down...it's bad out there.
Luckily, all the Ft. Worth side is getting is heavy rain.
Prayers for all!!!

We're in Dallas county, no damage here. But yes, Rowlett area is bad. I'm hoping this doesn't continue through the night.

I am at Love Field trying to fly out. They made us go down to shelter for about half an hour. Now I am waiting for the delays to unwind. Hope everyone is ok out there in it!

This front is supposed to move through San Antonio around day break tomorrow. Just rain, winds and possible hail. Snow would be worse than zombies here! lol
I've already cleared my patio for flying debris. It has been windy, warm and humid all day. A good storm is cooking up for us.
Stay safe, everyone!

This map sums up the CRAZY weather in Texas today! It was 82 and very humid here today. My AC has been running all day. But tomorrow night, it will be near freezing. Texas. Attachments:

I have been attached to my tv since around 6:00pm tonight. The damage in Roulette, Ovilla and Garland is massive. Four fatalities so far but I suspect that will rise by morning. I have a friend who has a teenager that is trapped in the area in Rowlett that is closed off to the public. Dad is trying to get him but I am not sure how that is going to work out.
This is horrible. I am also very concerned still about the rain fall and the dam at Lake Lewisville. If that dam is still compromised and it breaks...the destruction will be massive.

I just talked to my nephew. He's at work in Dallas but lives near Garland. He's fine at work but has no idea how things are at his house. Said it was very scary for awhile. Hope all our DFW Refupeas are okay.

I'm afraid the damage will be worse in the morning. 50,000 without power, and with the rains/flooding still to come, plus a continual drop in weather, those affected may not know the extent of the damage until daylight tomorrow.
Lots of prayers being said tonight!

We drove back from KC tonight and went through some nasty thunderstorms. Thankfully for us, the worst was to the east. We were driving to Keller and while it was very stressful; it was nothing like what happened east of Dallas. So sad.

This is just awful. At least 7 dead. It sounds like five were in their vehicles at George Bush and I-30. Cars were picked up and possibly tossed over the overpass there. They've shut down I-30 and HWY 66, the main highways into Rowlett.
This one was so close to home. We're in Rockwall, just a few miles from this area. I drive through there every single day. We had tornado sirens going off for quite a while tonight, and the girls were bundled in the closet with the cats. I don't ever remember weather like this at this time of year.
My brother was supposed to come in from Amarillo tomorrow, but they're looking at 1-2 feet of snow with 40 mph winds!

My dd was scheduled to fly home tonight. Her connector was in Dallas. After a 4 hour delay they just cancelled her flight.

I'm in Allen, and everything went east of us - we just got rain. I know some people in the Rowlett area, and as far as I know, they are all ok. Now I'm seeing a bunch of missing animal posts on facebook. Our safe room is the kids' bathroom - I'm thinking about putting a deck of cards in there so we have something to do. We spent a lot of time in there this evening.

My son was at his friends house in Copeville. I could see on the radar that the storm was right over them. Wasn't able to get in touch with him but his friend's mom texted me saying they were in a closet and the house was shaking violently. About 10 minutes later my son called to let me know the house was destroyed but all 25 people in it were fine!! I went out to get him and help get the others to safety. All cars were destroyed so they were stranded. The devastation out hwy 78 was terrible. I haven't been able to sleep.

Latest storm totals: 11 dead, 8 of those in Garland and upwards of 11 tornados. (We may learn that some were not tornados, but straight line winds.) So crazy!
