I've tried the silence, but it feels weird.
I like silence at home though.

Very loud alternative rock, singing at the top of my lungs. Very stress relieving for me. I take public transport to work and really miss this part of my commute.

It depends. If my chatty coworker has been particularly chatty that day, I usually ride home in silence. If it was a not so chatty day, I listen to music. My commute is only about 12 minutes long so I don't have time to listen to decent chunks of my favorite podcasts.

No silence. I always have the radio on, and I'm one to constantly fiddle with the stations, trying to find a song I like.
If I'm in DH's car I sometimes use the Bluetooth to listen to an audiobook. My car doesn't have that option.

I mostly listen to audio books for my commute, or if I'm between books then the radio. But sometimes silence is perfect.

Audio books or PBS. I love audio books for long road trips as well -- but when I'm in a "foreign city" with traffic, everything goes off so my full attention is on the road and traffic!

I don't drive much, and when I do, the kids are usually there. DD9 talks all.the.time, so no opportunity to listen to music or news.

My commute is just over 5 minutes long. I have the radio on but by the time I find a song I like, I'm pulling into the parking lot.

I am a loud music, singing at top volume kind of driver. I am sure it is quiet entertaining for those around me.

In the car on the way to/from work is really the only time I listen to music. My commute is about 15 minutes. But when DH and I are in the car (short or long trip) the radio never comes on. We are either talking or in a comfortable silence.

I pretty much only listen to my favorite alternative rock station in the car. I like silence at home.

At home, I like silence.

I put the radio on but when I can't hear anything I like or something is playing that I hate I turn it off. I also like to have it off when I am in the car with someone I want to talk to.

Anything from the local rock station morning show, music of all stripes, podcasts (specifically Catholic based, generally) and audiobooks. I've been known to stream Netflix and listen to West Wing episodes. Yes, I know how much data that uses And yes, I just listen. My phone is face down in the passenger seat when I do this.

K-love radio station in the car. Work is pretty quiet typically and I don't listen to anything in the house.

Not to stray from the original questions, but when I had a mini van with a DVD player in it I would play a movie even if I was alone in the car. I couldn't see it, but I enjoyed listening....I heard Pirates of the Carribean about a hundred time...LOL.

Sometimes it's all Bruce on E Street Radio. Sometimes it's all Broadway. Sometimes it's all pop. Sometimes the news. Whatever I'm in the mood for.

Depends on what kind of day I am having. Usually in the morning I listen to the radio, but after work it can go either way. If I was stressed and busy at work, it is off. Which is most days!

Always the radio ... I can't stand silence In the truck it is Sirius satellite channel 56 which is a current country station ... the other choice is channel 8 which is 80's I don't have satellite in the car so I just listen to regular FM radio ... mainly a country station but occasionally adult pop or talk radio stations

Never silence. If I'm in the car with others, then I listen to music. If I'm in the car alone, it's almost always an audiobook.

Usually silence or listening to an audiobook if I'm alone. It seems to be the only way I get my "reading" in. With kids, radio blaring loudly to drown out the noise of my son's ipad.

I mostly listen to music, but there are occasions when the day has been so busy/overwhelming that I need to silence in order to recharge.

music or a political station on XM. always. not many share my musical tastes so I love to listen loud, when I can. This is usually during my commute time.

My car doesn't have that option. This is me! I change the song constantly. I also don't have bluetooth and feel all fancy and use pandora when I drive my dh car.
