Slide holders? Is that what they were called? Little frames. But plastic and multicolored. I bought 50, probably. I still have some! I even took a class on how to decorate them

Paper bag albums! I ran across a couple the other day in my basket of mini albums I just made a paper bag album for December Daily, this year. I had to YouTube how to make one because it had been so long since I had made one. I blogged about it this week.

Oh, yes, the Coluzzle. I never could make it work. I gave it to a friend. I had a mini iron, shaped more like a curling iron. It came with shiny ribbon that you would iron on the page. I saw it demo'd at a scrapbook convention and had to have it. I still use my coluzzle, lol! In fact, I broke it out recently and carry it in my rolling tote, just in case...
Mini albums out of toilet paper rolls - you flatten them and slide tags in and out Shaker boxes (and the stuff inside eventually worked its way out )
I still have and use many of the items mentioned here!

the majority of the paper at the store were like blown up photographs, you know of things like jelly beans, baseballs, footballs, trees, etc. I remember photo realistic paper. I never did get the hang of it. Slide holders? Is that what they were called? Little frames. But plastic and multicolored. I remember that too. I don't even think I attempted it. I think I would have liked the idea more if I had known what shaker boxes were at the time. Then I think I could have used them in that way. This is a great thread, but it's making me nostalgic & a teeny bit sad . . . Me too. Especially with the news of Basic Grey closing shop (well the paper stuff anyway). Fibers! Same time as ribbons, some were feathery if I recall correctly. I actually really liked fibers at the time. I had the feathery pink & purple fibers. But I had a whole skein of them! I never barely made a dent in it, and eventually donated the rest. Photorealistic paper is my absolute favorite! I use it all the time! Maybe sometime I'll show you a few layouts where I used it and tag you so you see them.

What a fun thread! I remember many of these. I still have a clear acrylic mini-album that I never got around to making...someday...lol. Two things to add: Quilling And one I was just thinking about the other day with the Minc being so popular, does anyone remember when Making Memories had those foil & flocking kits? You would rub a tacky shape onto your paper and then put a sheet of flock or foil on top and then rub it down with a popsicle stick. I still have a partial Halloween one in my stash. Those sticky designs are coming back too! I wish I could remember which Manu showed them at CHA. I have old 7gypsies ones in my stash, still tacky (and maybe tacky...) It's Queen and Co. They go on sale February 1st I believe.

*hangs head in shame* So do I. It has survived multiple purges because I keep thinking that one day I really will make it. This reminded me of some mini albums that I've been holding on to for years. Does anyone remember these Making Memories 4x4 and 6x6 mini albums? They were album covers and they had different styles of inner pages like this and this. I bought a bunch and used one. Even after all this time, 10+ years, I still think I'll use them. . My problem was that I would see a cute sample and not sketch or take a photo of it. Now I have all the supplies to make something and can't remember what the heck it was I wanted to make.

I actually chuckled out loud thinking about the noise my eyelet setter makes and nodded my head when I think of all that "fiber" that my cat enjoys but never actually made it to my page.
I was thinking about when I went through that Donna Downey doodling stage. I just never got the hang of it.
Rub-ons were my enemy. I would somehow manage to either not rub enough, rub a stray one, or make it where it looked like a caterpillar in mid crawl. Those huge one word rub-ons like believe or inspire were just a disaster.
The blue purse, anyone?
Flower soft? I actually use it now from time to time but I bought how many containers?

Maybe I need to get a Fuse so I can make a pocket on the outside of a page protector to slip the finished book into. I like the idea of using them right on a layout, but slitting the page protector to access it? Not so much!

This thread makes me miss Making Memories. They were my absolute favorite company! I really loved their stuff too. I still have some of the tiny alpha stickers and their rub ons, and a few precious tiny pieces of ribbon from the Vintage Hip line which is my all time favourite ribbon and trim pack. I love those tiny alpha stickers. I still have a couple of sheets left and I have used the heck out of those little stickers. Used them on the last layout I made.

That would be a great way to use up all the bags I've been getting in kits.

Here's a real oldie for you. Anyone ever use tea bag papers? They were little printed squares that you folded into designs. Here's an example from a Paris page I did in 2002. I also really loved Debbie Mumm stickers.

I also really loved Debbie Mumm stickers. I remember those! Weren't they from Hot Off The Press? I went to a class of theirs once when I had a scrapbook store. It was probably 2001? We used a template to cut slits into a piece of paper then folded the pieces to make designs. Very FANCY! LOL!
