Welcome to March!
This month let's see if we can kill a kit.
All types of kits count - page kits, card kits, manufacturer's collection packs, kit club subscriptions, embellishment or paper only kits, PL kits, kits you've created yourself, and any other type of kit you can think of. Your challenge this month is to use up a kit to the point where you consider it finished. That might be when you can still make projects but it is no longer inspiring, until every last piece of it is used, or somewhere in between.
If you're like me and don't normally use kits but want to create your own you can find some tips to building a kit at the following links.
Jen Schow's 10 tips for creating your own kit
Glitter Girl - Kit me up before you go go
Glitter Girl - Layouts within limitations <-- this video shows you how to pull a kit together and then gives you a step by step guide on how to create 3 layouts
Get it Scrapped make your own page kits
Scrapbook.com creating your own kit
And during our online crop last year Alissa posted a copycat collection challenge which includes some real life examples. You can find the thread here: copycat collection challenge
All types of projects count (paper, digi, hybrid, PL, art journaling, anything else you create) and if you share your projects online please link them here so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeasgallery in this thread but shout out if you need help.

The only kits I get anymore are from a LSS in Edmonton. I tend to hoard them because they contain papers and elements I don't usually purchase, and I love to look through them and dream, but don't seem to dig in.
Her January kit is all Kaisercraft Time Machine, and I love clocks and gears. And I LOVE clocks and gears. Hoping to use it for dh's 70th bd pages.
Her February kit is full of pinks and hearts and X's and O's. I had already planned to use this for my February calendar page. And should be able to put some photos of my granddaughters on some of it.
Challenge accepted! This is going to be fun!

Thanks for the challenge ! I have to see if I have any kits or did I get rid of them all. I might have to get stuff together and make my own, which will be a challenge in itself.

Love this challenge! I was inspired to make my own kit and have made two layouts tonight.

I've pulled together a kit from my scraps to work on my 2013 month in review album. I've only done two layouts and since this is an 8x8 album I thought this would be a good way to use up some smaller pieces. I've gone through some of my embellishments and pulled out some things that will work and while I may still pull from my stash my goal is to use this kit to actually get the project finished.

I had a sub to CD in 2012-2013. I ended it because I didn't have time to use the kits. I pulled a kit from February 2013 and started making layouts. Nine, NINE, 9, layouts later, I think I can call it killed. I would have never pulled one of my leftover kits out if not for this challenge. Thanks so much, Karen. Hopefully, I'll get the layouts posted sometime this week.

I've finished three layouts so far using my kit and I've surprised myself by not reaching into my stash very often for embellishments so I think I'll have to beef up those so I can keep creating.
Here are a couple of the finished layouts (apologies for the blurry parts beside the flair - my scanner does not love the bulkiness).

Gave you lots of love in the Gallery. LOVE your 2 pagers! They all flow so smoothly with your choice of colors, matting and border strips that hold them all together.

I decided to make a kit using some of SU Domestic Goddess designer paper. I knew that these desserts just needed a page of their own, they were delicious !

I like the flow of the photos and PL cards and journaling across the two pages.

Checking back in to report that I have both killed my kit and finished my 2013 album. I had quite a few paper scraps that were in the use it or lose it pile so anything that didn't make it into my album has been tossed in the recycling. Now that the album is done I'm wondering why it took me over 2 years to put it together.
