I was going to update my thread about my son's possible skin infection but was not able to. A few people had requested that I update when I found out what it was, so thought I would do that here.
We got a call today from the clinic and it was indeed MRSA. He is doing much better now and the medication seems to be working.

I'm so glad he is doing well. I meant to reply to you when you originally posted but everyone else gave wise advice. Happy healing to him. MRSA can be a bugger (no pun intended).

very scary that it is MRSA, but at least they know which meds to use now. I am happy to hear that he is responding to the meds!

Poor thing. My DS had that when he was 5. We think it was initially from an ant bite that he scratched and got infected.
