Wow! What a great episode! So many answers, but no resolutions yet. I really wanted Littlefinger to die. I'm sure he still will, but I wanted it to be tonight. I'm glad Sansa didn't kill him, though.
And Hodor! That brought tears to my eyes.

When there was the flashback a couple weeks ago showing young Hodor speaking normally, I came up with a theory that he was actually trying to say something significant, and it was coming out Hodor. I was thinking more along the lines of "I know who Jon Snow's mother is", but I am still counting myself correct.

I am more upset over Summer. Quit killing the wolves!
Also, I hate the zombie storyline more than I can possibly express in words.

Curse you, George RR Martin! Killing off the innocent is hard to bear. Hodor, you will be missed.

that part with Hodor was so hard to watch!
I don't mind the zombies so much, but I'm really not a fan of Arya's storyline with the many faced god

That was so sad. First Summer, then Hodor. I'm curious where Meera intends to go next. That was the whole point, get Bran to the Three Eyed Crow. She can't possibly pull him around on a sled in the snow for very long.

I'm not reading the thread because I haven't watched the episode yet (still finishing Season 5), but maybe the title is a spoiler all by itself?

It's just a GOT catchphrase, like if I'd titled it Winter is Coming. I can't change it from my phone, but will later if I need to. I just can't see how I'm giving anything away. Maybe you are reading something into it that isn't there.

I'm so upset. I'm sick of the dire wolves dying. I'm sick of the good people dying. But that's what makes this show so good. Ugh. And I'm going to have to relive this awfulness when I read the book.
Still, the best show on television IMO.
Hodor.

From what I understand, this isn't in the books yet - the show has surpassed the books and there is no guarantee that the books will go down the same path. (Although, I suspect they will be the same.) I'm just so mad at Bran... Re: Meera - Didn't Leaf tell her that she was at the tree with Bran for a reason? That he would need her? I wonder if she meant for the incidents that happened last night or if it's for something yet to come?

So the children of the forest created the white walkers but now they hate them and fight against them? Didn't think that through very well, did they?

omg I was so sad about Summer! I yelled noooooo at my TV. It was interesting Meera was able to kill a white walker, was it a special sword or something? I cant remember how certain people can kill white walkers and others cannot. Littlefinger creeps me out

Littlefinger creeps me out They can be killed by blades made of dragonglass, and I think the swords of Valryian steel can kill them as well, but I'm not sure about that. I don't think they addressed it in the show.

What an episode! It was hard to watch in the end. For a while there, I thought Sansa was going to have Littlefinger killed!

The writers of the show basically collaborated with him on this part.

I cant remember how certain people can kill white walkers and others cannot. Littlefinger creeps me out Meera was given dragon glass by Sam when they ran into him, he was with Gilly and baby Sam. Remember, there was a thunder storm and Jon and the wildlings were just feet away but Meera and Jojen convinced him to escape to beyond the Wall rather than get to Jon. And yes, Valyrian steel can kill Whitewalkers but it's very rare. I'm a GoT nerd, I absolutely love it.

My question is, did Hodor know his fate the whole time??? And thus protected Bran knowing the outcome?
I promise you, the next time I rush towards a elevator I'm going to say Hodor.

I'm not in love with Arya's storyline, but I was moved by her reaction to the play depicting her father's death. Arya Stark is still in there even if she thinks she is "no one."

exactly! I'm hoping it snaps her out of her current story line path and she seeks out her family Well, that would be a waste of like 2 seasons then for her??!! ha That wouldn't make sense. Because what would have been the purpose?
