Have noticed a few threads about the HS Minc and other tools to use to add foil to cards and pages. There was also a foil cheat thread looking at ways to do this.
So Tuesday's prompt is: Do YOU use foil on any of your projects? And if so, what techniques or products do you use?
I love the look of foil on my projects and have tried various ways to accomplish this. Heat embossing with gold or silver or copper ep has been one of my favorites. Love Tim Holtz metallic sprays and paints and stains. For awhile I was addicted to Smooch gold spray. I am a sucker for metallic letter stickers, and for those new BoBunny foiled vellum cut aparts. I have also purchased several little tubs of Inka Gold and used it with stencils to achieve a foiled effect. This winter I purchased a WRMK "fuse" tool and some foils, hoping to get a more professional look without the cost of purchasing a minc AND a laser printer (mine is ink jet). What a surprise: the tool does not perform as advertised! Or I can't get it to do more than scratchy metal finishes.
Today, on my LOAD journal page, I really liked the effect I got using DecoFoil with diecut 2 sided adhesive sheets. It doesn't show up very well in my photo, but the tree turned out a lovely metallic green. I used the pressure of my Vagabond to adhere the foil to the glue.

My challenge to you is to: Use a little glitz on your next project! And have fun!

Do YOU use foil on any of your projects? And if so, what techniques or products do you use? I've used patterned paper and PL cards that already had gold foiling on them, but I'm too lazy to bring in another tool to my collection, so I won't be buying the Minc.

I'm not especially keen on the foil look - I do have some patterned paper that came that way but I find it hard to use

no foiling for me...I do have the old fashioned ones before the minc, do you remember they came in a flip pac with foil and flock pages, where you used glue...but do not pull them out. Very interested in the link, no interest in the minc.
but I do like glitz!!

I haven't jumped on the foil bandwagon. I don't dislike it but it just doesn't do anything for me.
I haven't been able to join in on these threads for a few days and I've missed them. Life is keeping me too busy to work on my scrappy to do list lately.

I love foiling, but am a lazy scrapbooker. I purchased the deco foil and a laminator (hubs has a laser printer for work) a couple of years ago. I just got it out and used it this year!! I ended up buying some HS foil as it's cheaper than deco foil. It's definitely something I want to do more of.

no foil but I did get a layout done after several days of being too busy to scrapbook
Day 24 layout #1 = "Sweet Sixteen" - 1pg, Colorbok PP and cutouts, vellum, cardstock, journalling, and 2 photos

I have never used foiling but since the challenge is 'glitz' I snapped a pic of a layout I did in April. It has some metal trim on it to look like metal armor and some foil thickers. Thanks for sharing this fun LO. I love how the metallic elements play up the medieval theme! I used a little more foil on today's LOAD post. Just the word "you" which I covered with Prima foil. It really doesn't show up well in the photo, but it IS there! Not sure if this will show up here, but hopefully you can follow the link. My computer updated itself to Windows 10 and not everything is working the way I am used to... www.flickr.com/photos/140011682@N07/27229775515/in/pool-load516/
