This is what made me ask. My DH went to a cookout yesterday and brought home some really yummy grilled steak tips. I just ate some of the leftover tips and saw that the bottom of the tupperware container was 'garnished' with thick slices of some sort of bread. Looked good, had juices from the steak on it, tasted good for about 3 seconds. Soggy bread makes me gag and feel like I'm going to puke! I don't know what it is or why, just can't do it. I also refuse to eat shrimp or clams (actually, most seafood) just because of the way it looks. Jello makes me gag too.
What are your food aversions?

Dead animals (OP, your post made me absolutely GAG) and olives. I hate those nasty little effers, black green, kalamata...doesn't matter. I don't eat gelatin, because again, the dead animals. Olive gelatin molds from those 50s cookbooks would have made me puke. LOL

Ditto! Also yogurt. The only time I was able to eat it was when I was pregnant.

Black licorice. In candy or liquor form. So gross. I don't care for raw onions at all, and pick them off of everything, but they are nothing compared to black licorice.

Chicken. I haven't been able to eat it since I was pregnant with D [HASH]2. He just turned 8. If I even taste it, I just totally lose my appetite. Doesn't matter if I know it's in something or not. I can cook it for my family, I even think the dishes sound really good. But once it's on my plate, blech!

Oh, I thought of another. Deviled eggs. I got sick eating too many of them when I was pregnant...just the thought of eating a deviled egg makes my stomach churn. I haven't eaten one in almost 18 years.

Oysters, squid, caviar, lox - and it's not because I don't like seafood, I love it, just can't get past the raw or ick factor. Cilantro, liver (any kind!) - I probably could go on but that's off the top of my head...

I cannot eat any kind of fried egg-- over easy, fried, sunny side up. I just can't. I also do not eat deviled eggs or hard-boiled eggs. I WILL eat hard-boiled egg pieces if they are in potato salad, but not by themselves.
I can eat scrambled eggs if they have lots of veggies and/or cheese in them. I like to make scrambled egg muffin sandwiches for dinner. I cannot eat McDonald's Egg McMuffins or any of their egg sandwiches.
Eggs have always made me gag. My ability to eat scrambled eggs is a rather new thing-- over the last 10 years or so. I don't see myself ever being open to fried eggs.

Olives. Instant gag if I miss one when I pick them out of something like pizza or a salad.

Coleslaw. Cheese. Mayonnaise. My DH used to threaten to hide cheese sandwiches with coleslaw under my pillow. Liver. My brother used to chase me with it when I was a little girl. (Do you sense a theme here? )

Boxed macaroni and cheese (unless there's tuna in it, then I'm good), Circus peanuts (the sweet orangey chewy candy ), and whoopie pies (I got sick on them as a child and can't even look at them now). Jello used to make me gag too, but I'm fine now as long as I don't take too big a bite. I can have one or two hotdogs a year, as long as I kill the taste with ketchup, mustard, and relish.
