I know this is an old thread, but I just realized this morning that it's been close to six months since their announcement. They've gone silent since the flashback box sale ended and aren't even responding to visitor posts on Facebook anymore. So much for new lines by the end of the year. Or ever for that matter. 😓

So strange how they appear and disappear. Sad. I LOVE them!

Maybe they'll surprise us. I'm holding out hope.

Have to say based on past performance I'm definitely not holding my breath!

I'm another who thinks this is the end of OA as a scrapping company. If they do anything else, I'd say it'll be quilt/fabric related like what Basic Grey is doing now. That's what I thought, too.

The Scrapbook Expo usually has all of their closeout items, but this time they only had a few stickers and embellishments. The woman at the booth said they haven't been contacted by OA for any items to sell. I suspect that the warehouse boxes were the last of their inventory, and that they are done.

I was hoping they'd dig some more product out and have a Black Friday sale...

They have a former OA designer on their team now and the stuff he's doing is suuuuuuper cute. GREAT JOB, CARTA BELLA!!! Thanks for pointing that out, when I first saw the stickers to the Autumn line I thought the boy and girl looked like drawings from some OA lines and now I know why. Very cute.

Thanks for the Carta Bella links---they really do have an OA feel to them. I have to agree with those who don't feel very optimistic about this break leading to a return of OA. I have always loved their products, but my gosh, what a mess things always seem to be with them in terms of how the business is run.

I truly think we've seen the end of them. Honestly, I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did, as their troubles were no secret. It's too bad, but we've lost so many other favorite companies as well.

Well, with an empty warehouse and the designers working for other brands, I don't see how they could make their way back anytime soon.

I love OA but I know a little about how they work from the inside from when they tried to work with Webster's Pages. I am not holding my breath.

This is so sad, but not surprised. I have always had a hard time finding their product. It was so adorable and made well, and it seems like there was enough people who thought the same you would think they would have made it. But who knows, I don't know how to run a business so I am sure there is stuff that happens we don't know about. BUT they should say something to us people who have followed them forever, to me that is just customer service. Put out an announcement "hey we have problems and working on it" or "hey we are going out of business".. just SOMETHING.

Totally bummed that I missed out on the warehouse boxes and Santa Sacks. I recently returned to scrapbook ingredients after a several year hiatus and can't believe how much good stuff I missed out on.

Maybe they could come back as a kit company with all exclusive designs instead of creating traditional releases. Kit companies seem to be doing well and they wouldn't need the same kind of distribution chain because it would be online orders only.

This happens every time that I forget what it was called. Stories of my Own maybe. They had really cute kits and each had a stamp set, but I bought a few separately. Just as I was getting ready to sub to their kits they shut down temporarily and said they had a big announcement coming. A few months later they introduced October Afternoon.

You order and pay for your kit for December 2016 and then it will arrive in your mailbox around July 2018. If you're lucky.

They were a kit club initially called A Story of My Own and they had exclusive stamps. They are awesome stamps, too!

ITA I was holding out a teeny tiny shred of hope for a December kit but I think they are truly done. I think I'm going to stalk the designer that went to Carta Bella - I really like his stuff. I'm glad I saw this thread; I saw a kit recently from CB and couldn't believe how much it reminded me of OA.

This is so disappointing. I really hoped they'd be back by now. Although I'm not really surprised given what I've read about their management. I loved many of their older lines (nearly every baby card I've ever made used Ducks in a Row paper) and their Daily Flash series too. Thanks for pointing us in the direction of Carta Bella. I'll have to go check out their stuff.

Did anyone else notice that their website is now down? Not sure how long it's been down but I know it hasn't been that long.
