I'm outside St Louis, it is just way too hot all ready. The weather people were warning back in May this would be a scorcher of a summer, but that June would be O.K. Makes me scared for July & August with June this bad.
It's O.K to live in my pool, right? Sometimes I complain about it's upkeep, but I sure am happy to have it.

I'm seriously ready for it to start! I think we've had about three warm days so far and a whole lot of rain.

It was in the 90's here the first week in June! That usually happens in July and August. I don't think I could handle the crazy humidity in St. Louis.

So far, we have had rain, rain, and more rain. Thankfully, there are a few days without here and there. But, trying to hike on the sunny days you encounter tons of mud.
We are visiting Pittsburgh today. Looks as if we won't be exploring anywhere on foot.

we are starting a 4-day heat wave so me, I'm ready for summer to be over. I've been ready since El Nino never materialized here in So Cal.

It has been hot and humid in Minnesota, too. I hate it.

Would any of you with cool & rain care for a lodger this summer? I (occasionally) cook & clean. ETA- And with that post,I'm now a Beastly Member, which is exactly what this weather makes me feel like. Walk to get the mail, I'm sweating like a beast.

It is already 93 here with a heat index of 103 - I hate summer and hot weather and cutting grass.

We had 3 days of promise last week, but this week has been rainy and horrible. Not really cold, but not fun to be out and about in.

As hot and as humid as it is here in northern Alabama I'm ok with it right now because I'm not freezing and shaking like a Chihuahua. I'm sure by August my tune is going to be totally different and I'm going to be begging for cool weather.

Still waiting for summer to begin here. The last week or so has been highs in the 50's and 60's, rain showers, even heard thunder last night. Typical JUNEUARY in the Pacific NW.
I love summer, even when it gets hot and we have no air conditioning. I love the sunshine. It's good for my mood. As are the long days.

I wish the damned weather would make up it's mind. Today it's windy and cool (well, cool for CA), but starting Monday we're heading for yet another heatwave.

Heck no! I love the heat! I just got back from Montreal where it was a little too cold for my taste. I love the light traffic and the laidback feel of summer. And the high is 97 here today. I'm thrilled it's not raining!

I'd like to have SOME summer before it's over! I think we had sunshine last week. Today it was 18 degrees which is 64 fahrenheit, I believe. Why is temperature the only thing I struggle with translating?

Last night it was 88* and I took the dog for a walk. It was gorgeous and perfect. I'll keep my summer. It is better on my back (no shoveling).

mellyw, I remember when we would visit my grandma in Hannibal when I was a kid--we always went in August and it was just dreadful. Missouri summers are no joke. I grew up in Ohio so I didn't experience that kind of heat+humidity again until we moved to southern coastal Virginia 13 years ago. I DESPISE the summers here. I dread summer the way some people dread winter. We've been having hot humid days (today's one of them) interspersed with a nice day here and there, but any day now it will just be hot and humid until September. When we get to late July, early August, I sit and fantasize about going to Maine and breathing some cool dry air!

It's only the middle of June. Summer doesn't even begin for 4 more days. Stay inside as much as possible and enjoy your air conditioning. House, car, work. I can tolerate the heat for the few minutes it takes to put groceries into my car.

To end? No way. Plus I don't think summer has officially begun yet, tho I'm not positive. Anyway I love it, the hotter the better. :-) :-)

Err, no, not quite ready yet, thanks all the same This was the Queen's 90th birthday street party I believe I found British summers delightful. Loved everyone that I lived there. I keep telling my godchild (him & his family are from/live in Middlesbrough), to make room, I'm moving in!

I love every aspect of summer (lazy days, no school, pool time, cook outs, no traffic) but I abhor the heat and humidity! We live in the south and it's miserable. High 90's for mid June!! I can't imagine what July and August will be like. I love the fall and spring weather. Not too hot or cold is my favorite!

We've had a few nice days but it's been windy and cool lately. Today, I'm under a blanket sitting on the couch. I'll trade you any time.

I can put up with hot, humid weather if I'm by a large body of water. I grew up in Michigan, got so spoiled by having those beautiful (shark-free) lakes. Would move back in a heartbeat, except for that little issue of snow. I can work around cold, but I do not do snow, like at all. I've lived & traveled everywhere, & my favorite weather place was England, Germany a close second. I actually didn't mind Phoenix, hot as hell but the low humidity made it tolerable to me. One of the worse was Japan. I loved, loved living there, but the summers? Holy hell steamy.

As someone that's gearing up for 120 degrees on Sunday, yes.....I'm definitely ready for summer to be over!! Unfortunately, it's only a sign of things to come.

Same here. And because it is Florida in the summer, it looks like it is almost time for our afternoon shower. It *may* cool things down, but it will send the humidity up. And I have to tell y'all, this heat isn't going away anytime soon.

That was one of the harder parts of living in Phoenix for me (& to an extent St Louis), to many days of sunshine. It effects my mood too much sunshine. Been that way since I could remember.
